00:20Hello and a warm welcome on what is a glorious night for football, perfect playing conditions.
00:26I'm Derek Ray and looking forward very much to getting tactical insights from my commentary partner Sue Smith.
00:32And with the atmosphere really building up nicely, we should be in for a terrific contest.
00:37What are you expecting?
00:39Well, it's a pleasure to be here and I'm anticipating a good game today.
00:43The coaching staff have done all they can, now it's about taking it onto the pitch.
00:50And the line-up for the home side.
00:52Yeah, it looks like a 4-3-3 and they are really good out wide.
00:57The relationships with both wingers and full-backs are great.
01:00And the latter constantly providing overlaps to create 2v1 situations.
01:05Both have got good delivery so it's just about getting on the end of things.
01:11And this is the initial 11 for the visitors today.
01:14Well, it's a 5-3-2, gives them loads of bodies centrally, which is great for control.
01:20But it's going to rely heavily on the wing-backs getting forwards.
01:23If they can't offer enough width, it could all get a bit congested in the middle.
01:27So, let's go.
02:22So, here we go.
02:24An exciting 90 minutes in prospect.
02:34Real chance.
02:36In it goes!
02:38An early opening statement in this match.
02:41And look at the celebrations.
02:51Well, it's great interplay to kick the move off.
02:54Really well worked.
02:56And once he's in, it's all about the finish.
02:58No messing around, just blasts it past the keeper.
03:01So emphatic, what a hit.
03:19And back on the way.
03:201-0 it is.
03:32And the chance slips away.
03:35Smart play there.
03:36Just knew exactly what to do at that moment.
03:39And he's broken free.
03:43Oh, what a save!
03:44Oh, that's top goalkeeping.
03:46Stay big and made the right decision.
03:55corner kick.
03:56Oh, that's top goalkeeping.
04:20Schindler
04:37Determined defending
04:45Not lacking confidence, is he? And he's through here
04:49No shortage of excitement, level again, no wonder they're excited
05:00Well here we can see it again, and he shows great ability to get past his man
05:05And then he's through on goal, no hesitation at all
05:08Just puts his foot through it, rifles it past the keeper, it's a cracking finish
05:22Back underway, level pegging, one goal apiece in this game
05:31Well that was incisive
05:37Looking for the right angle
05:43Looking to carve back some open space
05:46And a significant block following that cross
05:53Olivera
05:56Could be a chance to break
05:58He's in behind
06:02In it goes, and it's a very different story being written now
06:06From trailing earlier to leading here
06:13Well here it is again, and it's all about the pace and transition
06:17It was so quick to get out from the back
06:19And once he's clean through, he doesn't mess about
06:22Just smashes it past the keeper
06:24Brilliant strike
06:30So there we have it
06:312-1
06:39Schindler
06:43Well the defenders know they need to get tighter
06:46Can't really allow runs like that
06:48Team-mates in the middle
06:51In it goes, to square the game
06:54What a contest, this is turning out to me
07:05Well this is a perfect ball into the box
07:07It's just asking to be scored
07:09And then bang, nice finish
07:12Right into the net
07:13The keeper's got no chance
07:16Back underway here
07:17And they've split the four goals between them so far
07:24Using all his defensive acumen to cut it out
07:39Well time tackle
07:43Had the confidence to try it
07:45And then executed it
07:47Can they forge ahead
07:49And a high degree of difficulty there for the keeper
07:52Yeah, his reaction speed was outstanding
07:54And stop what looked like a certain goal
07:58And the course goes in
08:00Off the line
08:10No turn to come away with it
08:16An impressive run
08:25Oh good idea
08:30He's in with a chance
08:34And he's only gone and made it a hat-trick
08:37Absolutely unplayable today
08:39What a performance
08:45Well here's the replay
08:47And what a run this is
08:48They just couldn't get anywhere near him
08:50And then he manages to keep his cool at the end
08:53And finishes it off well
09:38Well here's the replay
09:39And when we see how to cover your laptop
09:40So that's because when you go out this game
11:19And a good challenge to bring that attack to an end.
11:27And couldn't keep the ball there.
11:34Chances on.
11:46Excellent defending.
12:45Well, here's the replay.
12:47And the delivery is just right, isn't it?
12:50It's in the danger area, just asking for someone to get on the end of it.
12:53And then what a great finish as well.
12:55The good connection with the ball, leaving the keeper with little chance.
12:59It's a fantastic goal.
13:03Just the challenge that was required.
13:12Quick counter could be on.
13:18Kingsley Schindler.
13:21Well, there's a really stylish piece of running.
13:24And that one drops right into the goalkeeper's gloves.
13:35Direct ball into the box.
13:37Direct ball into the box.
13:37Putting them under the course.
13:39Oh, still up for grabs.
13:40Well, they're going to be very cross with themselves because that was a wasted opportunity.
13:45Well, that looked good for a goal, didn't it?
13:47Surprised that that didn't amount to anything.
14:04Can they set up a chance?
14:07Strong but fair tackle.
14:18Oh, the threat is there.
14:22The save was a good one.
14:25If you look at the stats, they show just what an entertaining game it's been.
14:29There's been plenty of chances at both ends and hopefully we don't see a drop off in the tempo now.
14:34Oh, so they could be in.
14:37And a goal.
14:39In the lead again.
14:40Fully deserved.
14:53Another look now and you can see he's under all sorts of pressure here.
14:57He's done well though to fend them off.
14:59Really strong play and a good finish too.
15:02So they get the ball moving again, knowing that it truly is a race against the clock.
15:17Can they square this match?
15:23Well, it fizzles out thanks to that piece of defending.
15:35Oh, a fine pass.
15:37They look discompassing.
15:39Can he finish them off?
15:41He's done it.
15:42What a climax to this game.
15:53Well, if we take another look, he just glides past this man.
15:57The defender just can't live with him.
15:59But even then, it's far from easy.
16:01He does just enough under pressure.
16:03And then finishes it brilliantly.
16:05It's a really nice goal.
16:09Well, it comes down to the final five minutes.
16:13Using the flank often his preferred option.
16:16And flying forwards here.
16:20Nicely timed tackle.
16:25Really like that.
16:26Referee playing advantage.
16:28And there was no advantage.
16:29So free kick here.
16:34And the electronic board delivers the news.
16:37Two minutes of stoppage time.
16:43Could reduce the deficit.
16:50And there it is.
16:51The final whistle.
16:53And the fans will be leaving the stadium with smiles on their...
