00:05but of the guys I was really excited to see,
00:07how are they going to come out of what happened last year in the playoffs?
00:10He was right at the top of it from a flashy standpoint,
00:14and there hasn't been a ton of that there yet.
00:16It's nine games.
00:17It's all right.
00:18Yeah, there are moments where you can see it,
00:20like that skill and that IQ that he has to find space
00:25and do stuff with the puck on his stick flashes at moments.
00:28But it looks a little bit like he's still trying to figure out
00:31exactly how to gel with everybody else that's out there, to me.
00:36He doesn't necessarily know where he needs to be in the D zone all the time,
00:39which, you know, that's rookie stuff.
00:40That's going to happen.
00:42And, you know, Lindy's going to get on him about that.
00:44That's just going to be how it is with him this season.
00:46Well, and I will say this, too, for a young player,
00:51as well as he performed in the playoffs,
00:54every one of those games was the new most important game he'd ever played in.
00:58And now you can say all you want that we need that kind of effort
01:04tonight at home against Philadelphia in Game 10.
01:06It just isn't true.
01:08So figuring out how to navigate an 84-game season-plus playoffs
01:14after coming off of an incredible terror he was on in the playoffs,
01:19but where every night it was like, we have to do it again.
01:21We have to do it again.
01:22And it's just not as important and vital every night.
01:26And I wonder how much it takes a young player to kind of get used to the rhythm
01:31of an NFL season as opposed to every other night or whatever it is,
01:35two nights and then a day off, like it was in the playoffs where every game
01:38is life or death.
01:39These games are not life or death.
01:41And you can't pretend that they are.
01:43I mean, you can try, but if you treat Game 10 of the regular season
01:47like it's a playoff game, you're probably going to run out of steam
01:51at some point as a young player.
01:52So I think there's probably a little bit of that.
01:54Like, we have seen already that this guy can be trusted in pressure situations
01:59and Auslan even more so in pressure situations.
02:03So I'm not worried about it, but yes, let's get the sparks going
02:08on all of these things that we were so pumped about heading into the season.
