00:00Our buddy and co-worker, Spencer German, was in the Browns locker room,
00:06and the gang talking to Jerry Judy, Browns wide receiver,
00:10who came off a nice game last time out.
00:13And Jerry was asked if, and we're going to hear this in a little bit,
00:16but here's what he said, asked if he's heard any of the trade rumors
00:19out there about him.
00:21And Jerry said, you see it, but you can't do anything about it.
00:25You just keep continuing doing what you do every day.
00:30And then a follow-up question was asked if he has spoken to Andrew Barry
00:34or the front office about potentially being traded.
00:38And we'll hear this coming up in a bit.
00:40Jerry said, I'm going to keep that.
00:44You know, we're just keeping it day by day, man.
00:48We're doing it day by day.
00:52So certainly you want to read into something, go ahead and read into something.
00:57But that was his response when asked if he has spoken to Andrew Barry or the front office
01:01about potentially being traded.
01:03I'm going to keep it that.
01:05You know, we're just keeping it day by day, man.
01:10We're doing it day by day.
01:12Yeah, you're pretty hip.
01:15I'm just reading what it says on the screen, Andy.
01:17I didn't mean to be hip.
01:19I like it when you read.
01:20Just saying what the nice young man said.
01:23We just talked about what Jerry Judy said in the locker room today.
01:28And, of course, if you've been paying attention to anything that's written,
01:32especially nationally, you're seeing some Jerry Judy trade rumors out there.
01:38And the Browns have said, and Mary Cicaba was with us yesterday and said she's written repeatedly
01:43her sources tell her not looking to trade Jerry Judy.
01:49Jerry was asked all about it today in the locker room.
01:52Here's what he had to say.
01:53Have you heard that trade buzz stuff?
01:56Is that something that's not to your attention?
01:58I mean, you see it around, but you don't do nothing about it.
02:02You see it, but you can't do nothing about it.
02:04You just continue to do what you do every day.
02:06So no talks with, like, A.B. or anybody in the front office about, like, where are you
02:10standing?
02:10Have they, like, come in and say, like, hey, we want to keep you here.
02:13We want to maintain, like, I still want to keep you here.
02:15I'm going to keep that.
02:16You know, we just keep it day by day, man.
02:20We're doing it day by day.
02:22Any part of you want to go somewhere where you have a bigger role?
02:25I'm focused on this week, man.
02:27I'm not answering no type of questions like that, brother.
02:30Good answer.
02:32Good answer.
02:33Not saying a word.
02:34Good for him.
02:35Yeah.
02:35I don't think this team needs to move Jerry Judy.
02:40I like the young guys they brought in at wide receiver.
02:45I'm a huge Denzel Boston fan.
02:47I was hoping when they came up with Casey Concepcion's pick, I wanted them to take Boston there.
02:53Right.
02:54Because I like big, strong receivers who can go get the ball.
02:58And I thought I'd rather have Boston than Concepcion, even though I like Casey.
03:04And they picked him in the inverse order that I would have picked them, but that's okay.
03:08And they got them both.
03:10Isaiah Bond, good young guy coming along.
03:12Andy, that's two rookies and a second-year guy.
03:15Yeah.
03:16You need a guy like Jerry Judy.
03:18You do.
03:18And Jerry showed his worth on the field the other day.
03:22They don't need him in the wide receiver room.
03:25They don't need him in the locker room.
03:27They need him on the field.
03:28Yeah.
03:28You never know when he's going to be your leading receiver in any given week.
03:33Yeah.
03:33That's the thing about him is because it gives you potential when you have more than one.
03:37I was looking through some of the rumors that are out there.
03:40Kansas City, according to CBS Sports, they'd say he'd be a perfect fit in Kansas City.
03:45And they talked about his relationship with the Chiefs wide receivers coach, Chad O'Shea,
03:52which we all know.
03:53Los Angeles is another place talking about the injury to Devontae Adams.
03:58He'll be out, so they need an experienced vertical weapon.
04:01The Giants was the other one just talking about Jameis Winston being in New York, too.
04:05But we'll see how that plays out in New York.
04:07You wouldn't move him, would you?
04:09Or look to move him?
04:10Not after last week.
04:11He sold me last week.
04:13I thought for a minute that if you feel like you weren't trying to win this year,
04:21then for sure you would try to trade him.
04:23But I don't think we're in that mode right now.
04:25Yeah, see, that's the catch.
04:26For anybody that said, oh, well, just play bad so you can get the draft picks,
04:29I think we're past that now.
04:31If the Browns were winless, if they were 1-5, maybe even 2-4.
04:36Yep.
04:36Yeah, I'd move Jerry Judy.
04:38But you're not.
04:40You're in first place.
04:42And say anything you want about...
04:44Letting talent go off of this offense is not a good thing right now.
04:47So you've got to give them the ball.
04:48Ding, ding, ding.
04:50Say whatever you want about, okay, 4-2, they're tied, tiebreakers, blah, blah, blah.
04:55It's early, blah, blah.
04:57Say anything you want.
04:58Bottom line is they're in first place after six games.
05:02And I agree with you.
05:04I think you need him on this team more than you need a draft pick that you would get for
05:10him.
05:10What's the highest draft pick you'd get for him?
05:123-5?
05:133-4, maybe?
05:14If you're lucky, you'd get a third.
05:16You'd get someone who's desperate to give you a third.
05:18Yes.
05:19Yeah, they'd be desperate.
05:20I will almost always take a veteran player who's been productive as opposed to a third, fourth, fifth-round pick.
05:30What do you hope that guy becomes who you take with a third, fourth, or fifth-round pick?
05:35A productive NFL player.
05:37So why trade one for him if you can put him to use?
05:40Why take one that you're going to get in the future for one that you have now?
05:43Unless you don't care about now, you're more worried about the future.
05:47Exactly, unless your scenario played itself out where you were winless and it didn't matter.
05:54I keep waiting for Casey Concepcion to bust out, and it didn't help that he got knocked out the other
06:01day.
06:01That was ridiculous.
06:02I'm kind of upset about that.
06:03Denzel has had that bust-out moment.
06:07Casey hasn't had that yet in a big way, and I'm anxious to see it.
06:12It's coming.
06:13I think we all know it's going to be there.
06:14You think it is?
06:14I do, too.
06:16When you see him and Denzel have a big game in the same day, man, that's going to be a
06:25big day.
06:26Now, a lot of that has to do with your quarterback making plays, your offensive line giving the quarterback a
06:32chance to do that.
06:33But I think we're closing in on that.
06:36I think that's going to be awesome.
06:40I think part of it is, and it's just me from last week, I still don't think Deshaun is seeing
06:46the field as good as he can right now.
06:49They talked about the big pickup on the game-winning drive last week where Jerry told Deshaun what was going
06:57on and how to hit him on that route, that they knew it would be open.
07:01And so I thought that that's another reason why I was like, oh, man, they can't let him go.
07:06Why would you trade him at this point?
07:07If you're going to continue to win and you've got a veteran wide receiver that can go back to your
07:12quarterback and say, look, I know what we need here.
07:15I can get there.
07:16Just work with me and get me the ball.
07:17Just get me the ball.
07:18It's exactly what he did.
07:20You know, we saw plays like that against the Jets, too.
07:22Those guys just couldn't hang on to it.
07:25So, you know, the buildup of your wide receivers, knowing you've got two young, one second year, and then a
07:31guy that's been around for a while, I think it's a good dynamic if the quarterback can get in the
07:37ball.
07:37That's the whole thing.
07:40Would you move, Judy, Dano?
07:43Or do you think he's more valuable here, now?
07:46And does the price matter?
07:47What, I got two weeks to make that decision?
07:49Yeah, you got time.
07:50I think it's the 10th.
07:51Okay.
07:52I would take the time.
07:54If somebody called me up and offered a fourth rounder, I might do it.
07:58Really?
07:58But that's mostly, I want to get Isaiah Bond on the field.
08:02I just think that guy.
08:04They can play four receivers.
08:06But they don't.
08:07But you can play four receivers.
08:10My guess is if Isaiah showed them enough, that he might be getting a little more action.
08:20It might be a, we have to, you know, to use the Andy rule and the Andy law that was
08:26there for money ball.
08:27It may be we have to trade the veteran first baseman.
08:29So then that way we're forcing you to play Scott Hatterberg.
08:32Yeah.
08:32Yep.
08:33I mean, it might fall into that category.
08:35I, Isaiah Bond had a really interesting camp.
08:39And I know he had the opportunity in the Jets game and dropped a couple of passes that got everybody
08:43grumpy.
08:43But he also made some plays in that Jets game.
08:45And for good reason, grumpy.
08:46Yeah.
08:47But I kind of want to see if that guy's got more in the tank.
08:51I don't know.
08:52If they didn't move him.
08:53I would say two, but in a season where, at least for now, you're a contender, you're on your way
09:00to some good things if it continues.
09:03I don't know if you want your wide receiver group to have two rookies and a second-year guy.
09:07Right.
09:08It would be, give me the two weeks.
09:10If you came to me and offered a third, I'd probably do it for a third.
09:14But if you're going to do a fourth, a fifth, a sixth, I'll just hang on to him.
09:18Okay.
09:19I would agree with that.
09:20I would agree.
09:22You'd have to have, I think, a rough couple of weeks to suddenly think, okay, he's available now.
09:28He's available.
09:29But I personally would just hang.
