00:00You had an opinion, you had a little insight into what we were talking about with Tom Brady
00:03kind of coming into his personality after his playing career.
00:06And I see it firsthand when a player retires.
00:09And yeah, there's players and then there's players, right?
00:11There's legendary players like Tom Brady.
00:13And I have a, I don't know, a firsthand view of a few guys that are in baseball,
00:21what perhaps Tom Brady is to football.
00:24And when they retire, everything changes.
00:27You were talking about how he's coming out of his shell.
00:29He's always been out of his shell, I guarantee you, at home.
00:32But when they're on the field, when they're practicing, they have to maintain that face.
00:36They have to maintain that routine that tells the teammates,
00:41hey, this is how we're going to do things and we want to win.
00:43So for him to come out, and I love the way he does it.
00:47Like, I had a few questions.
00:49Like, my expectations were not too high of him as a color commentator.
00:54But he is really, really good.
00:55So yeah, when we talk about players different than when they were, yeah, you know,
01:00it's not like you retire from being a gardener and you can be home and drinking beers and just like
01:05relaxing, having cellos.
01:06This is something completely different.
01:08So I see that.
01:09I find it kind of weird, though, that he's a color commentator while still being a co-owner of the
01:13Raiders.
01:14That's a little odd.
01:15That's a little odd.
01:15That has been actually bringing a lot of controversy to his assignment on the desk.
01:21I think that some of these players, they get special privileges just because they have set a precedent where you
01:28can't really pass on having that insight in the book.
01:32I don't know if you guys know this, but before every single game, regular season, playoff, whatever, any sports, the
01:38broadcasters, we have an avenue to the managers, to the coaches.
01:42So every time there is a game where he's going to be, I don't know, the Chargers against the Broncos,
01:47you know, teams that play against the Raiders twice a year.
01:50And he has that meeting with the coaches, with the head coaches before the game.
01:55So they tell them the little secrets and perhaps the plays they are going to implement or they're going to
02:00experiment during the game.
02:02I wonder if they hold back with time.
02:03I don't think, I don't think you can.
02:05So now you have to trust them, not only as a broadcaster, as a team owner, but also as a
02:11person, as a human.
02:12And when you earn that trust as a person, I think you earn a big old avenue into a lot
02:19of people's hearts and homes.
