00:13So we will have in-ring introductions for our main event world championship matchup.
00:21Pentagon Jr., again, the man who pinned his brother, Phoenix, in the main event on April 6th.
00:28If he pins Phoenix tonight, he's the world champion.
00:32Do you, as a champion, do you argue matches like this or do you just accept them knowing that you
00:37don't have to be pinned or submitted to lose your title?
00:40It adds a whole new variable, as does wrestling.
00:44Two masked wrestlers, two brothers, and Pettit.
00:53Phoenix was the first-ever AAA Fusion champion.
00:57The first-ever Lucha Underground Gift of the Gods champion.
01:01A former Lucha Underground champion, a former Lucha Underground Trios champion.
01:07The first-ever Triple Crown winner in Lucha Underground.
01:11All this man does is win.
01:13Oh, absolutely.
01:14Tremendous, tremendous pedigree.
01:16Started wrestling at 15 years of age, Josh.
01:18We'll see if Phoenix continues his trends of first.
01:23Will he become a world champion here on Impact in this triple-threat match against his brother, Pentagon Jr.?
01:31And the next man to come out, the world champion, the Belt Collector.
01:36Look at this.
01:37How impressive is this entrance?
01:40Austin Aries returned to Impact Wrestling on February 1st, and all he did was win the World Championship in 60
01:47seconds.
01:49He's a two-time world champion.
01:52He exercised Option C at Destination X on July 8, 2012, giving up the X Division Championship for an opportunity
01:59at the world title.
02:01He defeated Bobby Roode at Destination X.
02:03We mentioned earlier tonight the longest-reigning X Division champion in Impact history at 301 consecutive days.
02:10There's a reason they call him the Belt Collector.
02:12Look at the gold hanging off of this man's shoulders around his waist and in his hands.
02:18And the most important one in his left hand, the brand-new Impact World Heavyweight Championship.
02:23That's what's on the line here tonight against two of the most impressive athletes that I've ever seen.
02:30Will history repeat itself here tonight?
02:33We send things inside the ring right now.
02:36In-ring introductions.
02:38He has zero fear.
02:40Phoenix and Austin Aries.
02:42Aries is so different.
02:43He's got such a different style from anyone else that you see compete.
02:47He's one of the most complete wrestlers I've ever been around.
02:50Great on the ground, great brawling, great talker, charismatic, and also can hit the 450 out of nowhere.
02:5722 men have held.
03:01The Impact World Championship.
03:05You think this bothers Aries?
03:07I think it takes a lot to get under Aries' skin just because he's seen so much.
03:12But like all great champions, Josh, he's got a chip on his shoulder that never leaves.
03:18And Aries will admit that.
03:19He'll tell you that he has an ego.
03:23Is that ego deserved?
03:24Has Aries done enough to earn that ego?
03:27Well, how many more belts can he win?
03:29I mean, if you don't have a big ego after carrying out eight belts, then forget it.
03:38He's also not going to let anyone intimidate him, as we can see here.
03:42Aries is the master of mind games, in my opinion, of the three.
03:48Let's see if the brothers, Pentagon Jr. and Phoenix, work together to try to isolate Austin Aries.
03:57And Austin Aries picks down Pentagon and Phoenix, and our main event is underway for the World Championship.
04:03Here we go.
04:04And when you're in the ring with two brothers, I believe...
04:06I'll remind you, Season 4 of Lucha Underground all get started June 13th.
04:09That's Wednesday night on the El Rey Network.
04:12What will happen if Pentagon Jr. or Phoenix become Impact World Champion?
04:16Where will our championship go?
04:22Aries off the road.
04:23Oh!
04:23And they nailed him with that in New Orleans.
04:26And Aries well scouted.
04:29Attention inside the ring right now.
04:30The championship can't change hands with these two.
04:34Pentagon Jr. and Phoenix.
04:36Don mentioned they are brothers, but they have a rivalry.
04:39And look at Phoenix!
04:40Lands on his feet.
04:41Aries is right there.
04:42He was looking for a German.
04:43He got elbowed.
04:44Step up.
04:45Kick there by Phoenix.
04:47Oh!
04:50And Phoenix will roll into a big cutter to Pentagon.
04:54So there goes...
04:54Opportunity and pass.
04:57Chancery by Austin Aries.
04:59Phoenix from across the ring!
05:01Bunk 25.
05:02And now it's Phoenix and Aries in.
05:04In a match like this, Don, right?
05:05You gotta...
05:05It means so much to Austin Aries.
05:07You heard him talk about it earlier tonight.
05:09With such passion.
05:11He says he has to be champion, Don.
05:13If he wants change, he has to be champion.
05:16Well, he's worked himself into a lather for sure.
05:20We talked about the massive ego of Austin Aries.
05:24Watch this.
05:24Delayed elbow to the spine.
05:27Aries...
05:27Right now, he's doing a great job to what you mentioned earlier.
05:30Keeping Pentagon at bay.
05:32Going after the other.
05:33Just switching in and out.
05:34Boom!
05:35Quick elbow.
05:36They peck.
05:37Very rough upbringing.
05:40Phoenix slips out the back.
05:41Pentagon!
05:42Missed Aries!
05:43Connects to Phoenix!
05:45Window of opportunity still open for the champion.
05:47Body scissors into a bulldog!
05:50On Pentagon!
05:51Aries wastes no time!
05:53Last chancery yet again!
05:54Got it hooked in deep, but Phoenix is down!
05:57Now Austin Aries, and here comes Phoenix!
06:00Just rolling...
06:0170-30, Austin Aries so far.
06:03Agreed.
06:04Austin Aries has done a tremendous job in this match as the champion.
06:07Great game plan.
06:12What will Phoenix do?
06:13Pretty much anything you want, but Aries closes the window quickly.
06:16Boxes the ears.
06:18Austin Aries now builds up some speed.
06:20Phoenix sends him over the top, bro, but look at that!
06:23World counter!
06:23That was awesome!
06:24All World Counter Wrestling!
06:28Phoenix just takes out everybody!
06:32Nowhere!
06:33That top rope has been slick tonight!
06:37Four or five spins from Phoenix makes it look complete!
06:41They're gonna go to the top rope.
06:42Making...
06:43No, off the second.
06:44Springboards up.
06:45Come on!
06:46What a swan time from Phoenix!
06:49That was amazing!
06:51The cover and Aries...
06:52The more dangerous.
06:55Aries puts on the brakes.
06:57A couple of knees to the side of the face.
07:01Back and forth they go.
07:03Who will gain the advantage?
07:04Aries definitely has the power advantage here on this relationship, I believe.
07:07Aries got him up and Pentagon was waiting!
07:09Pentagon!
07:12This...
07:12He's got a great mat-based style.
07:15Does Pentagon submission maneuver here?
07:17Has a reputation for breaking.
07:19As you mentioned about, he's been known to break arms.
07:24And Aries...
07:25And Phoenix now!
07:27Dueling chance of Austin Aries.
07:30Sierra Meno.
07:36Phoenix with the side headlock.
07:38Phoenix has taken a tremendous amount of punishment from both opponents thus far.
07:42And Aries!
07:43Oh-ho-ho-ho!
07:44Big-time roaring elbow!
07:46To Phoenix!
07:47Aries moving quickly!
07:49Watch this combination from Austin Aries!
07:51Phoenix turned inside out!
07:53Level down.
07:55Starting to get to a different gear is Austin Aries.
07:58And Aries' stuff isn't as pretty as Phoenix, but it's a little bit more brutal.
08:02It's got that hard edge to it.
08:05What will Aries do off the top of the 4.50?
08:07Pentagon Jr. breaks that up.
08:09Well scouted by the champions on the floor.
08:11This would be a great time to try to get a pin.
08:14Pentagon Jr.
08:16One blower.
08:17Cover here.
08:19A sternum.
08:19Oh!
08:20Oh, he suckered it in.
08:21Nice move by Phoenix.
08:23Three shots.
08:25Rocks.
08:25Pentagon back to the corner.
08:27Big-time superkick.
08:31Phoenix rolling in.
08:32He connects.
08:34Huge uppercut.
08:37Somersault springboard uppercut into the corner.
08:40Caught his big brother.
08:42And Phoenix.
08:43Look at this!
08:44Muscle Buster spins it around.
08:47Shoulders down!
08:48And Phoenix was that close!
08:49To become a...
08:51And somehow both of these men are on their feet.
08:57Aries is still down.
09:02Aries is lucky down that this match hasn't ended with him on the floor.
09:09Phoenix's big influence was Rey Mysterio.
09:12You can certainly see it in his offense.
09:16Counter here.
09:17By Pentagon Jr.
09:19Pentagon's got him!
09:20Pentagon's got him!
09:21And Aries breaks it up!
09:22That was the move that won the...
09:24Timing as always.
09:25That was the Pentagon driver.
09:26Going for the Brain Buster.
09:28And Aries looking to retain his championship.
09:30Going to nail it.
09:30He's going to nail it.
09:31He's out.
09:32Pentagon on his feet.
09:33Aries roaring elbow.
09:36Junior has in mind right now.
09:38Aries back in the ring.
09:39It boxes the ears yet again.
09:44Pentagon Jr.
09:45Definitely the more brutal of the two brothers.
09:48And here comes Phoenix.
09:51Ain't a superkick.
09:54It's Austin Aries' turn.
09:57Pentagon catches him.
09:59Aries gets his balance.
10:00Going for the Brain Buster on the floor there.
10:02That would have been the end of Pentagon and he hit it.
10:05And now Aries looking to send Pentagon into the steel steps.
10:08And Aries misses those.
10:10Here comes Pentagon.
10:11Into the crowd.
10:15What's 450 times two?
10:18Oh, God!
10:19Nailed both of them!
10:20Aries caught a bullet.
10:21Austin Aries was that close to retaining his championship.
10:25Boom!
10:26Running dropkick.
10:28From the world champion.
10:29And Aries catches Phoenix down.
10:31Aries is so explosive with those drop clicks in the corner.
10:35Nowhere to go when you get hit with it.
10:37And will we see a Brain Buster now?
10:39If he hits this, it's over.
10:40Phoenix slips.
10:41Out the back door.
10:41Oh!
10:42Superkick!
10:42There's one!
10:43There's another!
10:45Aries is down!
10:48Rocked!
10:48Caught him on the point to the chin and that's a knockout blow!
10:54Austin Aries is out in the center of the ring.
10:57Pentagon Jr. catches Phoenix!
11:02Pentagon!
11:05Gorey Special!
11:07Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
11:09And he's got Aries!
11:11Pentagon's got both men!
11:12What the hell?
11:12What the hell?
11:14What the hell?
11:14Pentagon Jr. just took out everybody!
11:17Gorey Special double package pile driver.
11:20And he's going to look to break the arm of the champion.
11:22Pentagon Jr.
11:24Oh my!
11:25Oh!
11:26Did you hear that sickening crack?
11:28And now Pentagon turns Aries and it out!
11:32He nailed it!
11:32Pentagon driver!
11:34And Pentagon Jr. is world champion!
11:36No champion!
11:41The winner of the match and the new Impact Wrestling world champion,
11:47Pentagon Jr.
11:48He broke the arm of Austin Aries!
11:52Certainly looked that way.
11:55He suckered his own brother,
11:57tried to snap the arm of the champion,
12:00and then hit his finish.
12:02And we've got a new world champion here at Impact Wrestling.
12:08What does this mean for the future?
12:11Now that Pentagon Jr. is world champion,
12:16defeating Austin Aries and Phoenix in our main event here tonight.
12:23This will make headlines worldwide.
12:27Had the Gorey Special hooked and then went into a package pile driver.
12:34A double move like I've never seen before in this business.
12:50Great shot, great show of respect and sportsmanship.
12:56Phoenix congratulating his brother as we take you back.
12:58I want to see that double team move.
13:00Can we cue that up?
13:01Let's go back to how it all came about here.
13:03This was Aries to the outside.
13:05Hurricanrana out of nowhere.
13:07And Don, it just got faster and faster from there.
13:09Triple corkscrew by Phoenix.
13:12Phoenix goes with a big.
13:13It's Swanton's smut move there by Pentagon Jr.
13:16Aries took over, really looked to be in control at that moment.
13:20But then Pentagon and Phoenix would get back into the ring after they took out Austin.
13:24Aries, Pentagon Jr. at this point.
13:28Pump handle package pile driver.
13:30Caught him with that super kick right in the face.
13:33Aries would connect here.
13:37And then the 450 to both may.
13:40Incredible.
13:41What an athlete Austin Aries is.
13:42But this was the undoing.
13:44Aries gets.
13:45Look at this gory special package pile driver on two men.
13:51And then new champion.
13:54The Pentagon driver.
13:56Look at.
