00:00If you think they're your girlfriend, you're in big trouble because they're cheating on you with
00:04about a hundred other victims. We're here today to warn the public about a highly sophisticated
00:10and increasingly common form of cryptocurrency investment fraud. The scammer creates a profile
00:17of attractive women on dating sites. They initiate contact, they build a relationship,
00:25and then they actually get them to invest in an NFT. The scammer shares details about her life.
00:33She sends short videos as well as audio clips that she's created to follow through on the scams.
00:42Short videos and voice messages do not prove that someone is real or legitimate. They are being
00:50pre-recorded and they are being reused. We have charged six defendants and we have not only charged
00:59them, but our embassy has delivered to Madagascar our official request to extradite. We're calling
01:06on the Malagasy government to give us the witnesses, to give us the evidence, and to give us the defendants.
