00:01Well the federal government says it has fixed the problems that led to those unlawful payment
00:07cancellations under its mutual obligations program known as the targeted compliance
00:12framework.
00:13Then it has confidence now that it will be able to implement the program again.
00:21The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations said that it has undergone extensive
00:29IT testing, it has improved staff training in regards to this particular program and improved
00:37communications with participants giving it confidence to restart key parts of the compliance
00:43program.
00:44But critics and advocacy groups say they are still concerned that the underlying issues
00:50that led to this haven't been resolved.
00:52The Department has said that it has identified more than 50,000 participants who could be
01:01eligible for compensation affected by this.
01:07And they have now, in Senate estimates this morning, they have actually identified about
01:121,430 participants have actually been contacted this week in regards to this compensation which
01:19is just under that 3% of that identified cohort by the government.
01:24Advocacy groups have quite different figures, they say that conservative estimates are about
01:30100,000 participants are affected under this and up to 300,000.
01:35at least two that have happened to this year.
01:35We will now have to engage with no more wise and clear.
01:36Especially with you, we will be able to help the students who have already mentioned for this
01:36knows.
