00:00I am not here to argue about how much power my family used. I am here because I can't tell
00:08how
00:08my bill was calculated. There are adjustment charges on it that no customer can check and
00:14no one has been able to show me the math. I had a bill go up to appropriately $666 if
00:21I
00:22am correct and I had a two-bedroom apartment and I was out of town for half of the time
00:27and somebody approached you know the reporter that I spoke with and said we'll go ahead and
00:32take a look at that. You know what don't do it for me. I can afford it but there's so
00:36many people
00:37here who cannot. Our bill was like from like $150 or something like that to at this point almost
00:44like $900. We live in a two-bedroom apartment so we're just doing what we can to survive.
00:51That's why we asked for an independent audit. Yesterday Mayor Bass called for one.
00:56Councilwoman Rahman has asked for one too and for that we thank you. More than 39,000
01:01people asked and you heard us. But calling for an audit isn't the same as doing one. So
01:06I have three questions. Who will conduct it? When will it start? And will the results be
01:12made public?
