00:00So the Colts have now traded DeForest Buckner as well as Quentin Nelson.
00:04I mean, two elite players.
00:06I am kind of curious.
00:07Are you curious?
00:09They haven't gotten a ton for either of these guys.
00:12It's kind of mid-round picks.
00:14All the players that were hurt.
00:16But are you surprised they didn't, theoretically,
00:20you wait closer to the deadline, you get more for them.
00:23They probably were thinking they weren't going to get that,
00:26and somebody came and offered them something more than they thought.
00:30And let's be real, people that work in front offices,
00:32a lot of them are friends, and they do deals with each other.
00:35Well, what's also interesting in Indy is it's now not –
00:40like it's now they just fired Chris Ballard.
00:46So I don't know who's running that.
00:47It might be Mrs. Ursae, Mrs. Ursae Gordon, whatever her name is, for all I know.
00:54What did the Niners send to get Buckner?
00:57I know the trade happened last night.
01:00Like a fourth rounder.
01:02So they've now gotten an extra third, fourth, and fifth for Nelson and Buckner.
01:06How old is Buckner?
01:08I mean –
01:09How many years have you been playing?
01:11And what's his injury history?
01:14I mean, both those – I think Nelson is 30.
01:17I would guess Buckner is 32.
01:21I mean, he's been in the league – this is year 11, I believe, for DeForest Buckner.
01:25And 32 and just came off of an injury.
01:27I – you know, when the team –
01:29And it was a back thing.
01:30Yeah, so they are thinking like, hell, let's get something.
01:33Yeah.
01:34I get it.
01:35I wonder – all right, so Buckner is 32, born on St. Patrick's Day.
01:40How about that?
01:42You walk up to him and pinch him?
01:43You don't have him on green, dog.
01:45I probably would not.
01:47Stallion would.
01:47My cousin Robin, also born on St. Patrick's Day.
01:50He's been – what's crazy is the Niners traded him.
01:53I think they got a first-round pick from the Colts, and now they get him back.
01:57Now, granted, it's many years later, but for a fourth.
02:00Mm-hmm.
02:01I think Jonathan Taylor could be on the way out over there.
02:04I think Josh Downs could be on the way out over there.
02:06He may be already in the back of what's called him trying to go to Seattle with him.
02:11I wonder, do you think Washington will be in the acquisition game here for any players?
02:21I don't know, depending on how these next two games go.
02:24Yeah, because keep in mind, they moved –
02:26If you presently look at it, I'll say no.
02:27They moved the trade deadline back.
02:29If they win two.
02:30Right after Halloween.
02:32Now it's the following week.
02:33So, I mean, it is possible the Commanders are 3-4-1 at the trade deadline,
02:38and maybe you can add a little bit there.
02:41I know folks will wonder why they didn't call on Quentin Nelson, who's a really good player.
02:46Who said he didn't?
02:49I mean, the reports have listed teams that called, and Washington's not included,
02:53but that's a fair point.
02:54Like a lot of times, you know, there's some people, like, I'm just calling and checking,
02:57and that's not taken down as a serious offer, so you don't get reported.
03:04Right.
03:04I also don't think they should.
03:08I mean, both Buckner and Nelson make you a better team.
03:12I think Washington at 1-4-1 is not in a position to be aggressive.
03:17I saw this thing from Jeremy Fowler this morning where he said he put out his top 25 trade candidates
03:25around the NFL, and you have seen the NFL trade deadline has really sped up over the last five, seven
03:34years.
03:35I think the Rams were a big part of that, kind of that first Super Bowl run when they traded
03:39for Von Miller.
03:41But with Indy already trading two guys away, Jeremy Fowler put out his top 25 NFL trade candidates.
03:49Jonathan Taylor, number one.
03:51That's pretty obvious to me.
03:54Taylor's excellent.
03:55We saw him against Washington rush for two touchdowns, whatever it was, a buck 20.
04:00Washington has a need for a real running back.
04:04Do you think they would call on that?
04:10Probably not.
04:10I almost think they would have been better off calling on Nelson than they would have been on Taylor.
04:15Like, you get Taylor here, but the way this offensive line is played, I'm not sure it makes a ton
04:20of difference.
04:20He's better.
04:22One that is very interesting, especially given the relationship with Jaden Daniels and the age and the contract situation,
04:28Brian Thomas Jr., the Jaguars wide receiver who's gifted, had a monster rookie season,
04:34and it's been underwhelming since, as the Jags have gotten better, too, which is interesting.
04:41And the Jags made their own trade to go get Jacoby Myers.
04:45Parker Washington has emerged as a real number one down there.
04:49Brian Thomas Jr. is a stud.
04:51I don't know what it would require to go get him.
04:54He also hasn't performed like a stud over these last season and a half.
04:59Do you think that is something Washington should kick tires on?
05:03Well, I think he doesn't seem – he feels he's not in their plans.
05:08Right.
05:08He feels that they don't see him as a vital part.
05:14So, player unhappy, doesn't seem like they're putting him in the plans.
05:18I'll go check with it.
05:19It's a little –
05:20It's got to be what you've got to give up, though.
05:24Well, it's tricky because he's in his third year.
05:28I don't know – he is a first-rounder, so you still have the option to pick up the fifth
05:33year.
05:33So, like, you could be getting about two and a half years of control contractually if you're able to get
05:38him.
05:40The numbers have just gone so sideways.
05:4324, he made the Pro Bowl.
05:45I think he might have been all pro.
05:47He had 87 catches for almost 1,300 yards with 10 touchdowns.
05:51And the numbers have just gone down ever since.
05:54Right now, through six games, he has nine catches for 105 yards.
05:59Like, that's –
05:59How many targets?
06:0120.
06:03And target – I mean, I don't know how good the targets are, right?
06:06No, I asked about the targets just to see because, like, sometimes when you're not getting much targets, you're not
06:11in people's plans.
06:13Totally.
06:13Like I always say, you've got to read the writing on the wall.
06:16But not only read it, you've got to understand it.
06:18Yeah, and it's not like they're not throwing the ball around down there.
06:22If you look at the Jacksonville target share, Parker Washington leads them with 46.
06:27He's been really good.
06:28I get it.
06:29Second is the tight end, Brenton Strange, with 33 targets.
06:32Then Jacoby Myers at 28.
06:35I'll tell you one thing.
06:36You want to look to the future?
06:39Are the Jags off this week?
06:40No, they had a bye last week, right?
06:42So the Jags this week are playing the Colts at home.
06:46So if all of a sudden you notice Brian Thomas has 11 targets, 7 catches.
06:52They're trying to put him out there and say, hey, who wants him?
06:57Yeah, dude, if BT has a big game this weekend, you've got to wonder about that one.
07:02That's something to keep an eye on.
07:04But if I had the opportunity to talk to him, I'll just tell him, look, bro, go out there.
07:09Always be ready.
07:11Don't walk around sulking.
07:13So, you know, because other teams are going to be looking at that too.
07:15People look at your body language.
07:18Make sure anytime somebody see you, they see this kid is ready.
07:22Because if you don't do it like that, they can screw you.
07:256'3", 210 has, to me, what matters a lot there is he's shown he can do it, right?
07:31He went for 1,300 yards as a rookie in the NFL.
07:34Going further down the list, they've got Josh Sweat, edge rusher for the Cardinals,
07:39as the number three most likely player to be traded.
07:42You wonder if Jerry Jones, especially coming off that big win in Philly,
07:46is going to get aggressive to try to add a pass rusher.
07:50I also wonder, as the Raiders season is kind of collapsing, they had that hot start,
07:54but I think everybody kind of saw some flaws there.
07:56If Max Crosby reemerges as a Cowboys possible target.
08:00Number four is Yaya Diaby, pass rusher for the Bucs.
08:06Number five, Jerry Judy, who I feel like gets traded every couple seasons.
08:10Number six on this list is Deron Payne, which I find interesting.
08:13You've heard that name a lot.
08:14You've heard it in other years too.
08:16So, eventually, I think that he's going to be one that's going to be on the block.
08:21Yeah.
08:21Going into the last year of a deal too, I think what's going to be crazy is
08:26if you are looking to move Payne, the comp is probably pretty minimal.
08:31Like, I think you're getting – if Quentin Nelson got you a third and a fifth,
08:34if DeForest Buckner got you a fourth, like you're talking probably a Saturday pick
08:39for Payne.
08:40And I don't think – I think you've got to wait and see what happens over the next two.
08:45Yeah.
08:45Because if you win the next two and then you really are back in the NFC East race,
08:50you want Payne around.
08:52I would say.
08:53Now, if you lose – if you lose both of these next two,
08:58they should be looking to move a lot of guys.
09:00If you split the next two, you've got to at least beat Philly
09:04so you've got the division win.
09:07I also more and more wonder if the Giants aren't relatively real.
09:11And relatively real means they're at four wins.
09:15Mm-hmm.
09:16They've got a bye this week.
09:20And then if you get to nine, doesn't it feel like nine's going to win the East pretty –
09:27Oh, yeah.
09:28I think you're in great control.
09:31So, I mean, if you're just looking out at the Giants' schedule,
09:35they have the bye this week.
09:37Then they go Eagles-Commanders.
09:39So they have back-to-back division games.
09:41And then down the stretch, it does get arguably more difficult for them.
09:45They have games with the Jags, the Niners, the Seahawks.
09:48They're going to Seattle.
09:50The Browns, who look resurgent.
09:52So, let's-
