00:00As we said, it's 57 years since the Milwaukee Brewers first started as a franchise in Major
00:05League Baseball, and they have waited. Boy, I'll tell you what, last night at the Trop,
00:09I did not know if that was a home game in Milwaukee or that was a game down in Tampa.
00:15Boy,
00:15I got to tell you, man, that's just a dominant performance last night. They end up taking that
00:20series four games to one. Pat Murphy, the architect, I mean, he knows what this means
00:26to the area, the state, and most notably, the city of Milwaukee.
00:31This parade is going to be like. Wow, I haven't even thought about it. When is the parade? Do we
00:36know?
00:38Huh? Friday? Parade? Do you got a baseball game? We might have to miss the parade.
00:46Do you have practice Friday? You don't? You can't miss a game for the parade.
00:54Grandpa's the manager of the Milwaukee Brewers. Look at Grandpa. Yeah, I mean, I think, you know,
01:01just for the city, for the people that have, you say, yeah, they've been waiting so long. That's
01:06one thing, but it's more about their undying commitment to this team, and it started growing
01:14and growing throughout the year. Grew last year, and then you see what it means to them.
01:21$149 million payroll. It's the whole state of Wisconsin, and I hope they're proud. I hope
01:27they're proud of these guys, and I hope they realize how special this group is, because
01:33we didn't get a rating. We didn't get picked to win the division by one outlet. We didn't get picked
01:37to win over 85 games by anybody. I don't know if Las Vegas, I don't follow the line there,
01:43but they didn't pick us. So, but those fans of ours, they picked us, and the guys felt the energy,
01:51and they played accordingly. Man, that's just absolutely awesome, and the city of Milwaukee,
01:58too, and by the way, Contreras ends up winning the MVP. He was just a catalyst behind the dish,
02:02and the way that he handled that pitching staff. Hey, listen, the reason that this guy was, again,
02:09the MVP, was not just because he produced at the plate, but also behind the plate, and Kevin Cash,
02:16the manager of the Rays, knew that, hey, they ran into a buzzsaw, but most notably, they ran into an
02:23exceptional pitching staff. Milwaukee Brewers pitching. I mean, it's as simple as that. We got
02:28a bunch of good hitters over there. They've shown it all season long. We ran into a team that had
02:34very, you know, tonight, elite starting pitching, very good pitching, and then as good as a bullpen
02:40as maybe I've ever seen. And then, boy, I got to tell you, if I'm not mistaken here, you can
02:45correct
02:45me here, but they dropped a game to the Padres, right? And then they dropped a game to the Rays.
02:52So, really, in the last couple series, they've only lost two ballgames.
02:56That's dominant performance, man. I mean, look at the odds right now coming up for next year
03:00if there is baseball for the World Series here. Obviously, you got the Dodgers sitting at top.
03:06You got the Brewers here, Yankees, Rays, Red Sox, Cubs, Braves, Phillies, Astros, and the Cleveland
03:12Guardians. But, boy, I'll tell you, that organization, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa
03:17Bay Rays, I think they showed you what old school baseball was all about. It's not about the names on
03:22the back of the jerseys. It's about getting the right 25. And that's why you had those two teams
03:27in the World Series. Kudos to the Rays on what they went through this year. Working on a brand new
03:32stadium, they ended up getting it. They ended up winning the American League East. But, boy,
03:36I got to tell you, congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers. 57 years in waiting for them to get
03:43themselves a world championship. A baseball team and a baseball community that's been waiting
03:48a long time. Remember, they were initially the Milwaukee Braves. Henry Aaron played there.
03:5457 years ago, they started the Brewers. And here they are, Contreras leading the way and world champion.
