00:11Hi, I'm Lilac Perez from Refinery29, and I'm super excited to have Tess Christine, YouTube blogger, show me a beauty
00:18look today.
00:19Welcome, Tess.
00:20Hi, thanks for having me.
00:22So I'm looking to try something new today.
00:23I love neutral smokey eyes.
00:25I think it's really fun because you can kind of play up with different shadows and make it really fun
00:30and different for the spring.
00:31Do you have any suggestions?
00:33Okay, so the first thing that I usually do for a smokey eye is I just basically put a base
00:37over my lids, usually a lighter color.
00:39I love that it just kind of brightens up your eyes a little bit more and kind of helps the
00:44smokey eye fade into each other.
00:46Yeah, my eyes already look so much bigger.
00:48Exactly.
00:48So then the next thing I do is I usually just take a step darker from that and place that
00:53into my crease.
00:54This kind of just contours your eyes and defines them a little bit more.
00:58Okay, great.
00:59To make it smokier, what I do next is I take an angled eyeliner brush and I dip it into
01:04a darker color and I'll place that on my lash line.
01:08That already looks so good.
01:09Yeah, it's already so much better.
01:11Just add mascara and you'd be good to go.
01:13Perfect.
01:14That was so easy.
01:15Yeah, exactly.
01:15That's what I love about it.
01:17Thank you so much, Tess, for showing me this amazing smokey eye.
01:20I just love the way it looks.
01:22You made it so much easier for me.
01:23Yeah, thank you.
01:24This was a lot of fun.
01:25Talk to you soon.
01:26Bye.
