00:09Hi, I'm Jailene from Refinery29 and I'm here today with hair and makeup artist Bethany
00:14Brill.
00:14Bethany, I have a question for you.
00:16For Asian eyes, what are some tips on getting a bold look?
00:19I can definitely show you some techniques on how to get an open and defined eye.
00:24Perfect, let's do it.
00:25So we're going to start with a gel liner and a liquid liner brush.
00:31We're going to pull up on the eyelid towards the temple.
00:37This allows the line to go on straight and when you let go, it's going to have a wing
00:42all on its own.
00:43So on the outside corner, we're going to brush towards the center with the liner all the way
00:51to the front of the eye.
00:53Make sure you get it right at the base of your lashes.
01:00Don't worry about getting it on the first time.
01:03We're just going to keep adding layers until we're finished.
01:08You can open the eye to check and then continue a little thicker.
01:16We basically want to go to where the crease of the eyelid is when the eye is open.
01:27This is going to give the ultimate definition.
01:30This is going to give the ultimate definition.
01:30Just repeat the same technique on the other side.
01:33Clean up any smudges with a Q-tip and some eye makeup remover.
01:37You can also use this to define the wing.
01:41Now, take a little dark eye shadow.
01:44We're going to draw a shadow from the tip of the eyeliner towards the inner eye.
01:51Just blend it a little bit on the outside surface.
01:54If you're new at this technique, I would start with a lighter color and move up.
01:59Finish by curling the eyelashes and adding mascara, focusing on the outside corners.
02:16So, here we have our completed look.
02:18I love the graphic line.
02:20It adds a beautiful shape to your eye.
02:22I think the techniques you shared are simple and easy, that I could do that every day.
02:25See you later.
