00:09You may not have grown under my heart, but in it.
00:12It doesn't matter how they come into your life.
00:15The moment they put that child in your arms, whether you've just birthed it,
00:18or whether they've just arrived from Korea, they're yours.
00:22And that love, that unconditional love, just sweeps over everything.
00:27Maddox was the last child I saw, and he was asleep.
00:32And they put him in my arms, and he stayed asleep.
00:35And then he opened his eyes, and he smiled.
00:37And I cried and felt like this kid is okay being in my arms, and he accepts me.
00:43When we adopted our daughter, our beloved daughter, who thrills me and rocks my world,
00:48and, you know, you have one kid, and then you think,
00:50oh, my gosh, I'll never love another kid.
00:52And then the second one comes, and you can't believe that you love him.
00:54And then the third one fell out of the sky.
01:04I started my foundation Raising Malawi, and the more information I got about the children
01:10and the number of orphans that were there, the more it seemed quite obvious that,
01:15you know, if you want to go to Africa and adopt a child, I might as well go to Malawi.
01:26I've always wanted to adopt, and decided, you know, to pursue adoption on my own.
01:31And the process for Eloise took about a year and a half.
01:35I'm your mother, so whatever you are, however you are, the ups, the downs, the journey of it,
01:41none of that matters to me.
01:44It's just, I'm your mother, and I'm here for you, always.
01:49And that, to me, is the true sense of being a mother.
01:53That unconditional love that just exists.
01:56That unconditional love that just exists.
01:56That unconditional love that just exists.
01:57That unconditional love that just exists.
