00:21I do remember being at an event where I was as a group of seniors the man who's
00:27introduced me he sort of paused he said this is Andy he's the what what's your
00:33title again if you look back at me and I explained first gentleman and all the
00:36older men and all the women they're all laughed and kind of giggled
01:11for a man to see your wife in the position of power and prominence all the
01:16time you have to think about how to manage yourself and how to manage your
01:23ego and how to play roles that are unusual roles I think almost all of it
01:30has to do with our expectations of gender I don't think that people are
01:33necessarily going to expect a first gentleman to do the Christmas
01:38decoration tour but but but we just don't know maybe we should maybe we should
01:43you actually held a tea for a former lady of Rhode Island I realized I have a
01:48platform as first gentlemen and I you know I have a real license and then I
01:53have an intention to do something with it to make an impact on our state and they
01:57were very encouraging in that way lots of pride at my wife extraordinary feelings
02:02of pride for my wife
