Challenge yourself to do a move that's a little more difficult than your regular lunge. This move is great for strengthening the lower body — your inner thighs are going to feel it tomorrow.
Transcript
00:12The Cross Lunge to Squat is a great toner for your quads, hamstrings, inner thighs and glutes.
00:18It also works your butt more than a regular lunge.
00:22Start with your feet shoulder width apart and your arms at your sides.
00:25Take a big step forward across your body and lower yourself into a lunge until your thigh is parallel with
00:31the floor.
00:32Push off the floor with that same foot and return to your starting position.
00:37Continue alternating sides.
00:39To make it a little harder, add a reverse lunge.
00:42Complete one rep and once you're back in starting position, step one foot behind you and lower yourself into a
00:48reverse lunge until your thigh is parallel with the floor.
00:52Reverse lunges tone your entire lower body and challenge your balance too.
