00:04routines. In this week's episode of Try Living with Lucy, I'm going to be
00:07breaking away from my typical beauty regimen and instead trying out the
00:11routines of some of my favorite people. On day one, the first person whose
00:16routine I'm borrowing this week is my twin sister, Allie. I decided to wear an
00:21outfit that was in line with what she'd wear to her finance job, but I loosied
00:25it up a little bit with a bright red blazer. Whoa! That's right. Yeah, this is 40
00:32year olds. Do you like it? The jacket is very you, the rest of it is confusing.
00:37Thank you. Mian is Refinery29's beauty writer. So today I waited until I was at
00:43my desk at work and then I did Mian's classic makeup look. But did I do a good
00:49job with the eyes? I feel like I was channeling you the whole time. I used your
00:53nose trimmer. How did you like it? It was tickly. When that razor turned on, I did
01:00not know what to expect. I kind of thought it was gonna hurt and rip all my
01:03nose hairs out really quickly, but it kind of just tickled. Do you do that every
01:08day? I have to. I actually have to do it twice a day. Your nose hairs just regenerate?
01:13Yeah, that fast. I make my own deodorant every day. Fun fact. I'm used to using the same
01:18deodorant every day, so making my own DIY version had me a little bit nervous and
01:22feeling a bit self-conscious. But I mixed everything together and then I just
01:26applied it with my fingers. At this point everything was so far so good, but I
01:30needed to see how well this deodorant held up during the course of my day. And
01:34the answer, sadly, was not well. Then I slice up a little lemon and I either put it
01:40on a cotton swab or sometimes I put it right on my face. Lemon juice is an
01:44anti-inflammatory that can help with problem spots, but as you know my skin is
01:49very sensitive, so applying fresh lemon juice directly to it definitely stung a
01:53little bit. And thankfully Anna wears store-bought deodorant. So after my
01:59Thursday of not smelling too hot, I was back to wearing my normal deodorant. But
02:03Empress's Zen bath was something that was much needed and something that I never
02:07give myself enough time for. So that is gonna change after this video. I'm taking a
02:12bath every night for the rest of my life. Hold me to it. Bye!
