00:00I fundamentally believe this is on men.
00:02And while we can come forward and tell our stories and say what we need to say, men need
00:08to step up too.
00:09If you're scared, you better believe that the women around you are scared.
00:13And so take that fear and couple it with somebody or support somebody in any way that you can
00:19because that's all we really have.
00:22You know, you're seeing truths come out now with the MeToo hashtag and all of that.
00:26And I think this is all part of a larger healing, I hope, that will come about for us.
00:33And so I know for me, I always have to take a beat, think, feel, know, and then I can
00:39react
00:39after that.
00:40So it's always fueled by fear.
00:43Calling all these actresses to speak, it's like, why should we have to do that?
00:48Why don't men do some of the lifting?
00:50It's not just on us.
00:52We tell the stories and now it's on them to support us.
00:56Quentin Tarantino is a good friend of mine and I really pushed him to come forward and
00:59speak publicly.
01:00It was important to me that his silence was complicit at a certain point and that he needed to speak
01:07because men needed to follow in that suit and also speak to it.
01:10Partners, spouses should absolutely not be responsible for the actions, words of their husbands.
01:17It's not fair, it's something that's been put on women for so long.
01:22It's surprising to me sometimes how impactful our voices can be when we actually use them.
01:28You know, sometimes you just think you're like throwing your voice at a wall.
01:31You have no idea.
01:32You're like, I'm just going to say it because no one's listening.
01:35And then you find out it's like, oh no, actually millions of women are listening.
01:38And a lot of really good men too.
