00:12today we're putting high-end versus affordable lipstick to the test and
00:16we're doing it through food yeah I'm hungry me too honestly are you ready for
00:20this porn ready what's your experience with lip stain honestly I haven't used
00:26them before I'm usually like on the liquid lipstick trend what products do
00:29you have today so I have the YSL matte lip stain it's in a nice pink color and I'm
00:36super excited and I am using Dear Darling tint from Etude House and so it's more
00:43of this lip tint but it's this nice stain so I have this more of a reddish
00:47orange tint color should we go for it let's do it oh wow that's really it's a
00:51different consistency than the liquid lip you need really precise application I'm
00:55realizing I'm comparing this to liquid lipstick because liquid lipstick is
00:58usually matte this feels a lot lighter on the lips it doesn't feel like it's
01:02drying the lips out it's just like a very thin veil as of right now I'm a
01:06little skeptical to see how well it stays right no it feels like when I tap my
01:10lips like this it feels like I'm water between them it's very like a light
01:14liquidy feeling it looks really good you applied it really well I hope it stays
01:18on me too this is gonna be interesting to see try not to talk too much we're
01:24gonna be testing out four different foods can of soda a lot of lip to mouth to
01:27touching action then we're gonna do some ice cream nice ice cream bar some fruit
01:34and then finish with a tasty hamburger it's time for round one soda I'm seeing a
01:40little residue on my can not a good first sign look at this elegant sip yeah okay yeah so
01:48round one I'm already gonna say that it's coming off so it's not looking good
01:51for me but yours is staying on pretty well yeah it's feeling good okay round two
01:55ice cream oh I love a good ice cream I'm excited about this one to be honest my
02:04lips are good how about yours my lips actually stayed on better than on this
02:08and the actual coat well because it was softer no yeah so it just kind of like
02:11melts into your mouth so we're halfway through the testing and so far I'd give mine
02:16like a five point five six out of ten my top lip it's really coming off the
02:21bottom lip staying on pretty well but the top lips really rubbing off so I feel
02:25like it's not gonna last much longer I think I'm gonna give mine a nine guys I
02:28feel really secure in my lips if I could eat a big meal right now and it would
02:33stay on now we're on to round three fruit all right so I have my apple here and I
02:38have a banana which is my favorite fruit now fruit is really tricky because
02:41obviously you have to bite into these things and that's where you're really gonna see
02:45the lipstick mess up definitely so I'm really really nervous about this one me
02:48too I hope it stays on so this would be the real test are you ready I'm born
02:51ready all right let's take our bites I'm doing perfect there's nobody on my
02:57banana okay to be fair banana is a little easier though because you have to do like
03:00full mouth action yeah that's true that's true so banana I feel like you can
03:03just bite into yeah well as tasty as this banana was let's go to round four a
03:07hamburger all right I am excited about this round mmm how'd it go mmm I'm
03:16scared mmm this is really good mine absolutely did not say on and I have
03:20that weird line around the outside but I'll say that I think you have the
03:24opposite problem it still looks great but you can see it's wearing down just a
03:27little bit on the inner all right so that completes our hamburger test not yet
03:41all right Serena we've completed our lip stain at times food test what are your
03:45final thoughts my final thoughts is that I actually really like lip stain and
03:48here's why because it doesn't feel heavy on my lips it doesn't dry out my lips it
03:53honestly feels like I don't have anything on my lips but I do it's YSL which
03:57means I might not be able to afford you but I really like so this is a great
04:02product if you're just getting in the lip stain and you want to try out a couple
04:05different colors it may not be as long-lasting but it's definitely
04:09affordable and when you're ready to splurge and pick that shade that you want
04:13to commit to maybe you get this as a birthday gift all right so you know I had
