Transcript
00:00I am Delaney Tarr. I am Ramon Contreras. Hi, I'm David Hogg. It's important for people to vote, for young
00:05people to vote, because that 18 to 29 age demographic has over 46 million eligible voters. If every single one
00:12of us were to vote, we'd be able to choose our representatives, who truly represent us, people who believe in
00:18what we stand for and what we need.
00:20There's a lot of people that don't want you to vote in this country because it keeps them in power.
00:23Be that rebellious person, go out and vote. It's the best form of civil disobedience ever created.
00:27It's important to vote because so many young people in this country are being underrepresented right now in the Congress
00:32and Senate, but it's important for all young people to rise up and demand the means that they need to
00:36live a safe life in this country, to make sure that kids aren't being shot in schools on their way
00:41to school and on their way home, to make sure that we're unified and our collective group of Americans who
00:46want better change.
00:47So many people believe that their vote doesn't matter, but really it's the first of many steps that you can
00:52take to participating in your democracy, and it's what you can do to ensure your safety and the safety of
00:56the people around you.
00:57You have to treat every election in democracy like it could be your last because it very may well be.
01:01You have to treat every election.
