00:02As you can see, we're in a little bit of a different location.
00:05We are in a hotel, The Hoxton in New York City, because I am here on a staycation.
00:11I decided that since I've been traveling a lot this winter and pretty much living out of this makeup bag,
00:16that I would share with you guys my travel beauty routine.
00:20Okay, so let's get into it.
00:22The first thing I'm going to talk about in my travel routine is my travel bag.
00:27I'm not picky when it comes to travel makeup cases.
00:30As long as it's big and holds everything, I don't really care, but this is a really cool one.
00:34It's by a brand called Mafia.
00:36The bag is made out of upcycled sails, so it's keeping a lot of old sails from going into the
00:41landfill.
00:42Plus, it's literally what they use to sail on the ocean, weatherproof and all that jazz,
00:48so it's a really good and durable bag.
00:51But moving right along to what's inside.
00:55I'm going to start off with my morning skincare.
00:56I actually tend to use a lot of the smaller sample size products that I get throughout the year.
01:02The first of which is this Fresh Soy Face Cleanser.
01:05This is a great cleanser.
01:06It's very gentle.
01:08It smells really nice.
01:09If I'm going to use an oil cleanser at night to take my makeup off,
01:12I'll use this after and it gets my skin really clean.
01:15It gets all that oil residue off my skin.
01:18And then I'll follow up with a rose tonic from Pixi.
01:21I use this in the morning and the night.
01:23Then I move along to serum.
01:27So the serum itself is super lightweight.
01:29It has a great, very easy to use package.
01:31The pipette is really fun and satisfying to use because it has a little pusher.
01:36What's really nice about it is that it is such a thin, fast-absorbing layer to put on in the
01:41morning.
01:41It's full of antioxidants, has vitamin C to brighten, hyaluronic acid to hydrate.
01:45It's a really great step before moisturizer because it doesn't add an extra textural layer to your skin,
01:50especially if you're going to wear makeup on top of it.
01:53So next up is moisturizer.
01:56This is the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream.
01:59Really great moisturizer.
02:01It's so rich, but yet it absorbs very quickly.
02:04So this is what I use with my moisturizer.
02:05In the summer, actually, I would probably just skip the moisturizer and just go straight to sunscreen,
02:10but it's the winter now and I need this extra layer of moisture
02:12before I go into my daytime sunscreen.
02:16So this is a little mini size of the same wand mineral sunscreen.
02:20Has no fragrance, no parabens, no phthalates, no sulfates.
02:24It's a really nice lightweight sunscreen, absorbs quickly.
02:27Kind of feels just like moisturizer to be honest.
02:29Let's move on to makeup slash things that I do to like gussy myself up in the morning.
02:34And we'll start with this.
02:36Oh, hi, magic hair wand.
02:38I'm sure you guys are so tired of me talking about this hair wand,
02:42but I love it so much.
02:44I've been using it to tame flyaways where I get some breakage because my hair is so bleached
02:49and it really helps kind of smooth everything down.
02:52It doesn't feel crispy.
02:52It makes my hair look so much fresher.
02:55So then moving on to makeup and I start off with just concealer actually.
02:58I really like wearing just concealer all over my face in lieu of foundation.
03:03So this is like one of my favorite ones right now.
03:06This is the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer.
03:09I've been using it for months and I adore it.
03:12Feels like skin, it looks like skin.
03:14It's just so good.
03:16So next up is blush.
03:17It is a blush stamp.
03:19So you pop out the top and it's a little heart.
03:23Look at this little sponge.
03:25And then you pop the bottom up, stamp it in there and you stamp it onto your cheek
03:28and you blend it out and it's so cute.
03:30You know, it is a larger product, but I've been kind of stepping away from bronzer lately
03:35and just wearing like more blush on my cheeks.
03:37So I haven't been bringing a bronzer.
03:39So I feel like it's okay that I'm bringing this kind of larger item with me.
03:43So next up is powder.
03:44And I've been traveling with this one, which is actually really special to me
03:48because my mom gave me this vintage Guerlain pressed powder compact.
03:52So I've had this powder for a really long time and it's very sleek and compact.
03:58So keeping it in my makeup bag when I'm traveling is really great.
04:00And it's just nice.
04:00I just think it's such a beautiful product and it reminds me of my mom whenever I use it.
04:05Then moving on to highlighter.
04:07And this is a oldie but a goodie in my opinion.
04:09It's called the Champagne Rosé Luminizer.
04:11If you're looking for that very dewy skin look, RMS is a great brand to look at.
04:16It is so beautiful.
04:17It's also a really small little pot that lasts forever.
04:21So it's really easy to throw in a bag.
04:22So moving on to eyes.
04:24Now this is where at home I would like experiment with a lot of different colors.
04:28But when I'm traveling, I like to keep things simple,
04:29especially because I'm usually with family.
04:32I don't have a ton of time to get ready in the morning.
04:33So obviously I always start off with a primer.
04:36This is the NYX Proof-It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer.
04:39It's a good primer.
04:40It doesn't feel like anything on the lid, so it's very easy to layer up on.
04:43So moving on.
04:45I got some Nude Stix Eye Pencils here.
04:48And these are really easy products to throw in a bag and use.
04:53They last a really long time on the eyelids.
04:56And the shades that I brought with me this time are called Copper Foil.
05:00And this one called Queen Olive.
05:02This one's a really beautiful warm bronze that you can wear all over the lid.
05:06They're very easy to blend.
05:07And then this is kind of an olive-y metallic shade that I used today on my upper lash line.
05:12But you can also wear it all over the lid as well.
05:14You can do something smoky with it.
05:15It's very, very fun.
05:16You do have to sharpen them though.
05:18So what I'll do is I usually sharpen them before I leave.
05:21And then when I come back, if I need more, I'll sharpen it again.
05:24So obviously I am wearing just those today.
05:26But I always, always, always bring along a liquid eyeliner as well.
05:30This is one of my favorites.
05:31This is the DHC Liquid Liner.
05:33And it is such a good eyeliner.
05:35I've turned so many people onto it.
05:36So this is a great one just to have all the time in every bag.
05:40Honestly, I travel with it.
05:41But I also just have it in my purse pretty much 24-7.
05:44So next up is mascara.
05:46And I always obviously curl my eyelashes.
05:48This is the Tweezerman eyelash curler.
05:50A little dirty because I've been using it for a very long time.
05:53But this is a great inexpensive eyelash curler.
05:55And then I'll follow up with a waterproof mascara.
05:58So I kind of look at waterproof mascara as like the hairspray for your eyelashes.
06:02They keep my eyelashes up all day.
06:04I need a waterproof formula.
06:06It's pretty much a deal breaker for me.
06:08So finally for makeup, I have the Glossier Generation G lipstick.
06:12This is the shade Crush.
06:14It's a really easy lipstick just to throw on like.
06:19It's essentially a matte tinted lip balm.
06:22I don't think it is super duper hydrating.
06:25So I do like to layer a little bit of lip balm underneath it.
06:28But it is a beautiful just like bitten color.
06:31Typically, if I'm like going for a longer time, I'll also throw in a red lipstick as well.
06:37All right.
06:37So that is all the makeup.
06:38And now we can talk about taking it all off in the evening.
06:41So moving on to my night routine.
06:43Basically, the only things that change in my night routine from my morning routine
06:47is my cleanser and my night serum.
06:50So starting with the cleanser, I will still use the Fresh Soy Cleanser.
06:54But before I use that, I'll use this cleansing balm from Yves Laum.
06:59It smells so good like a spa.
07:02I just take a little bit of it into my hands, warm it up, put it onto my face
07:06till I kind of melt away the waterproof mascara and all the makeup I was wearing.
07:10And then I'll follow up with the Soy Cleanser to rinse all of that off.
07:13Then my serum is this one from Drunk Elephant.
07:17It's the TLC Glycolic Night Serum.
07:19It is an amazing serum.
07:20I've been using it for like two years.
07:22I talk about it to literally anyone who will listen.
07:24It is expensive.
07:25It's $90 for a tube, but it is worth it.
07:29It has acids in it, AHAs, glycolic acid.
07:32That's really great for like softening lines, but also really great for acne and acne scarring.
07:37It's perfect.
07:38And to finish off the skincare portion, I obviously will use a lip balm.
07:43This is the Bite Agave Lip Mask, classic, very hydrating.
07:48So I use this morning and night, but I'll really slather it on in the evening.
07:52And last but not least, the, I guess you would say the most boring part of a routine,
07:58but deodorant essential.
07:59This is the Folane Undercover Deodorant, and it is a lovely charcoal-infused deodorant.
08:07It smells very fresh.
08:08It does a decent job of absorbing underarm sweat, and it keeps you from getting too stinky.
08:16It's good.
08:17All right, and that is it.
