00:09Flex dancing to me is the freedom of expression.
00:13You can create or imitate whatever you want.
00:18My very first battle, I was nervous and I was scared,
00:22but something in me was like, just go for it.
00:25And if you fail, maybe, you know, in your heart,
00:28at least you know that you tried and you gave it your all.
00:36It took a lot of courage for me to be a part of flexing,
00:39to even show that I could do it.
00:44Flexing is mostly a male sport, so for us females,
00:47we have to prove we can do just as much as the guys can do.
00:52Being a female in the flex world, you have to be tough.
00:55You will get overlooked.
00:56They won't respect you. They won't give you the time of day.
00:59You have to demand their respect.
01:03When I was growing up, I didn't really have much confidence
01:05because I was bullied in public school.
01:07There were certain things that I wanted to do
01:08but was afraid to do in front of certain people
01:10because I just felt like I was going to get made fun of.
01:15One of the reasons why I do it, you know, to inspire other people,
01:19inspire other girls, that they don't have to be afraid to, you know, dance.
01:23Just be you.
01:25If your dreams don't scare you, they aren't big enough.
