It's not rocket science, but half-tucking your shirt can be tricky. It's all about understanding which side goes in, how much to tuck, and how messy is too messy. You can give your look an unexpected twist without having to dig around in your closet to add something else onto your outfit.

00:06The half tuck where one side of your shirt is tucked in and the other side of the shirt
00:10is left out is a really popular styling trick this season in fashion, but there's a right
00:14way to do it where it looks deliberate and on trend and a really wrong way to do it where
00:18it just looks like you were too tired getting dressed in the morning.
00:21So for the right way to do it, you want to start with your shirt all the way untucked
00:25and then make sure it's unbuttoned so you have a little bit of skin poking up above.
00:29That's to ensure that none of the fabric gets way too bunchy on top.
00:33Then what you want to do is take the bottom flap of your shirt and tuck it in really carefully,
00:40making sure to follow the waistband of your skirt or pants and then once you get to the
00:46very side, you want to take that extra fabric, tuck it underneath a little bit and let it
00:51drape naturally.
00:52In this part, stand up straight, fix it and adjust it and voila.
00:58So this is the right way to half tuck your shirt in so you never again have to hear,
01:01did you know your shirt's not tucked in all the way?
01:03Okay.
01:03Okay.
