00:03Hi guys, I'm Chloe with Refinery29 and today we'll be making a geometric,
00:08Missoni-inspired necklace that's perfect for spring.
00:12What you'll need is a pair of scissors, a match, metal beads, necklace fastener,
00:18fabric glue, and embroidery thread.
00:21For your first step, you want to go ahead and cut some pieces of embroidery thread,
00:25about like that.
00:27You want to take your bugle bead and start wrapping the thread around
00:32until the thread measures an inch across the bead.
00:35Then once I'm done wrapping, I'm going to pull the thread around the back
00:40and take my fabric glue and just put a tiny dot on the back side.
00:47And I'm just going to use this match or you can use a toothpick
00:49and pull it over the thread to secure it.
00:53And you'll just want to hold that for a little while and let it dry.
00:57While that's drying, I'm going to go ahead and do the other five beads I have here.
01:02And I'm going to do an assortment of colors, so hot pink and some greens.
01:05So once the glue has dried, you'll want to go ahead and snip the ends off
01:09and then just start arranging the colors how you want them to be.
01:12You'll want to take the bottom bead and spread some glue across the top of it
01:17and then press firmly against the next bead.
01:20And then you'll want to keep doing that with the rest of the beads until they're all together.
01:24Then once the bugles have dried, you'll want to go ahead and cut another piece of embroidery thread
01:30about however long you want the necklace to be, whether it's a pendant
01:34or something a little closer to the collarbone.
01:36And then you'll want to slip it through the top bead.
01:39Then you'll want to take your necklace fastener,
01:42and I have one that's magnetic here and has little holes on the end.
01:45And I'm going to feed the embroidery thread through the end.
01:48And then you'll want to tie a double knot and just trim the ends.
01:53And now you have a perfect geometric necklace for summer.
