02:38I accept this mandate, not a personal victory, nor as an

03:02I am fully aware that confidence expressed within this chamber must ultimately be a justified
03:12beyond its role. In the communities you serve, in the institution you strengthen, and in
03:20the lives we are able to improve.
03:25My fellow Bangsa Moro, we must never forget the history that has brought us to this moment.
03:36The autonomy exercise today was neither easily obtained nor freely given. It is the product
03:48of decades of struggle, sacrifice, and dialogue, and peace-building. We did not struggle for
03:55autonomy merely to change the paces of those who govern. We struggle for the opportunity
04:02if it could change the lives of those who are governed. That distinction must remain at
04:09the heart of our leaders.
