GLP-1 is the hormone behind drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, and those drugs help a lot of people. They can also bring side effects, and stomach problems are the big one people talk about.

Here's something I find interesting. Chlorogenic acid is a plant compound that's richest in green coffee beans, and yerba mate has a good amount of it too. Research suggests it can nudge GLP-1 up on its own.

Dr. Ben Bikman runs a lab at Brigham Young University that studies obesity and metabolism. On a podcast he shared early results from a yerba mate experiment where fasting GLP-1 levels rose about 70%. It's early and it hasn't been through the full research process yet, but that's a number worth watching.

Let's get healthy together.
