The Bharatiya Janata Party has launched nationwide padayatras to counter the narrative built by the opposition INDIA bloc. In Hyderabad, Union Home Minister Amit Shah led the foot march, while another mega padayatra was held simultaneously in Kolkata. BJP supporters turned out in large numbers for the march named 'Loktantra Bachao, Rajakta Hatao', spanning two kilometres from College Street to Esplanade. The demonstration marks the party's widespread ground-level outreach across various states, standing in contrast to opposition rallies concentrated in the national capital.

00:00Those are the visuals from Hyderabad where the padhyatra by the BJP is currently underway.
00:05It is being led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
00:07Meanwhile, not just Hyderabad, the padhyatra is also underway in Kolkata.
00:11That is being led by the BJP President Nitin Nabeen.
00:15And in fact, the Bengal Chief Minister Shavendu Adhikari is also accompanying the BJP President.
00:21So we're showing you both the visuals, how it looks like in Hyderabad, how it looks like in Kolkata.
00:26Now, there's also a strategy difference between the Congress and the India Bloc and the BJP.
00:32If you talk about the India Bloc, the India Bloc is focusing largely on the national capital.
00:36We've seen the protests, the mega rally all happening in the national capital.
00:40Whereas the BJP has launched this campaign across the country.
00:45It is carrying these padhyatras in different parts of the country.
00:49Today itself, one padhyatra is in Hyderabad, one is in Kolkata.
00:53My colleague Tapas is also now joining us from Kolkata with all the action that's happening on the ground.
01:00Tapas, we were showing our viewers the visuals from Hyderabad where Union Home Minister Amit Shah is leading a padhyatra.
01:06And now in Kolkata also, BJP President Nitin Nabeen is leading this padhyatra.
01:11Give us more details.
01:12How long will this be and what all can be expected?
01:19Well, Anjali, it's a sea of people what we can witness here in Kolkata.
01:23I'll show you around thousands of BJP supporters from Kolkata and other adjoining areas have reached Kolkata to participate in
01:31this padhyatra.
01:32BJP is calling this padhyatra as Lok Tantra Bachao, Rajakta Hattao, that means safe democracy.
01:39We know that the India bloc is upping the ante against the BJP government in Delhi on multiple locations.
01:45And now BJP have brought this strategy out to counter the narrative, to counter the narrative of the oppositions.
01:52And that's how Nitin Nabeen, after finishing his rally in Bihar, they have come here in Kolkata.
02:00And they are trying to send across a message to the people at large that this is, that the narrative
02:08that the opposition parties are trying to make is not in favor of the nation or the country.
02:14And henceforth, it's an attempt to reach out to the people at large.
02:18And now BJP President Nitin Nabeen, along with the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Subhenda Dikari, have hit the streets.
02:24And this is the very place from where Momota Banerjee, the former Chief Minister, used to hold rallies in Kolkata,
02:31once known to be a strong bastion of Trinamol Congress.
02:34This very place has been chosen.
02:36It's going to be a two-kilometer rally from College Street to S-Planet.
02:40And as the rally will culminate at S-Planet, Nitin Nabeen would be delivering a speech addressing the people.
02:48So it's a counter-narrative that the BJP is trying to set against the narrative that the opposition parties or
02:56the indie bloc is trying to make and reach out to the people.
03:01And it's a massive scale of rally that has been planned by the BJP.
03:06First it was Bihar, and now here in Kolkata, this BJP President himself out here.
03:12And he's walking on the streets, and he will be walking down two kilometers to reach the planet where he
03:17will be delivering a speech.
03:19It's very clear that under any circumstances whatsoever, BJP is not ready to leave an inch even to the narrative
03:28that is being spread by the opposition parties led by Congress.
03:34Here it's Trinamol Congress that remains to be a deported opposition party.
03:37Now, the kind of sea of people that we are witnessing, we have never seen such a huge turnout of
03:43BJP supporters, at least on the streets of Kolkata in recent past.
03:49Anjali.
03:50Absolutely, Tapas, do stay with us.
03:51So the message from the BJP is absolutely clear.
03:54It's a narrative war that's happening, and the BJP has made it clear that if you want to fight this
03:59battle on the streets, then we are also ready.
04:01And in fact, it's not a usual sight that we see the home minister on the streets taking out a
04:08padhyatra, not just the home minister, other union ministers also, the chief minister, the BJP president, all out on the
04:15streets carrying out a padhyatra every single day.
04:19And currently, this padhyatra is underway in Hyderabad and Kolkata.
