Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched an attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the Prime Minister came to power and remains in office due to foreign assistance. In a direct challenge, Rahul Gandhi dared Prime Minister Modi to an open debate at any stage and time regarding claims over foreign backing, financial support, and social media influence. Gandhi's remarks followed Prime Minister Modi's address where he cautioned against anti-India forces, questioned covert overseas meetings, and flagged the misuse of social media platforms to spread rumours and tarnish the image of the country. Reporting on the political standoff, correspondent Rahul Gautam noted that both sides have traded allegations over foreign interference and destabilisation, with the Congress leadership asserting that the ruling dispensation is backed by external powers, while the Bharatiya Janata Party has accused opposition forces of working with adversarial elements.

00:00All right, Rahul Gandhi has responded to Prime Minister Modi now.
00:04Mr. Modi, he says, and I quote him now,
00:07Stop lying to the nation.
00:08You became Prime Minister because of foreign help.
00:10You remain PM because of foreign help.
00:12Your financial system is fully controlled and supported by foreigners.
00:15Foreign social media fully backs you.
00:18I challenge you to an open debate about this.
00:20Any stage, any time, come if you have the guts.
00:24You won't dare because you are terrified of what I know about you.
00:28So that's the comment coming in from Rahul Gandhi,
00:34putting it out in an all-out attack at the Prime Minister,
00:37directly saying that he came to power because of foreign help.
00:41In fact, there is a response that has come in as well.
00:45Let's quickly listen in.
01:2724-24 years ago, 10-12 years ago,
01:28where have the solution that comes under the air?
01:38Where have the power of the U.S. citizen,
01:40we will have the power of the U.S. citizen,
01:48as the people who are involved in
01:48the government who are involved in the U.S. situation,
01:54who have been the power of the U.S. citizenry?
01:55Who spoke to our U.S. citizenry?
02:18Alright, so that was the specific comment that the Prime Minister had made to which Rahul
02:24Gandhi has now responded.
02:25it to that speech where Prime Minister is alleging that there is a foreign hand saying
02:29that Congress is the one behind it without naming them of course and now the response
02:33from the Congress is coming with a very direct manner saying that Prime Minister Modi is
02:38actually backed and he became a Prime Minister because of foreign help and he will remain
02:42or he remains at the moment a Prime Minister because of foreign help as well. Rahul Gautam
02:47joins us for more details on the story. Rahul, interesting comment there. What exactly is
02:53Rahul Gandhi implying here?
02:58You know, this is not something which Rahul Gandhi is saying for the first time. Rahul Gandhi
03:04has been saying that the current ruling suspension enjoys the pleasure of foreign government and
03:11in fact, in a very clear terms now, he's saying that Prime Minister Nandar Modi was installed
03:18by foreign powers and he continues to remain seated because of foreign powers. In fact,
03:23he said that the foreign social media is also helping the current ruling distinction. In
03:30fact, possibly for the first time he has dared Prime Minister Nandar Modi to come in a debate
03:36and discuss all these allegations that Prime Minister Nandar Modi is levelling against Rahul
03:41Gandhi or Congress Party saying some obstructive forces are trying to destabilise our country. Rahul
03:47Gandhi, you know, in a very terse manner you can say that, you know, you can come and we can
03:55have a
03:55discussion about this as to how or who is actually supporting who and how you, how the current ruling
04:01party BJP is having support of foreign power. So, and in fact, we all know that how he has been
04:08calling Prime Minister Nandar Modi a compromised Prime Minister, you know, somebody who's being
04:14compromised, you know, by Donald Trump. And in fact, how the Indian interests are being,
04:21this is coming at the cost of Indian interests. This is something which he has been saying but possibly for
04:26this first time he is saying that, you know, let's have a debate on this. And in fact, we also,
04:31the very last line as this tweet says that I know, you know, something about you which can actually
04:37damage, you know, PM Modi. So, you know, Rahul Gautam, they're talking about that entire comment
04:43that has come in from Rahul Gandhi in response to Prime Minister's comments earlier. So, who's being
04:48funded by foreign powers? The BJP says it's the Congress, the Congress says it's the BJP. At the moment,
04:53Rahul Gandhi has invited Prime Minister for a debate, a one-on-one debate specifically on this matter.
