00:00I spent eight years combing these woods. I've seen one hundreds of times. I just never got a
00:05clear shot. Here, look at this. It's a fresh sketch. Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're
00:12leaving our life of crime behind to investigate the many mysteries of the Grand Theft Auto series
00:17that ended up having answers, and even the ones no one knew to look for.
00:26Night Tag. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. San Andreas players swore a tag showed up in the
00:33Vinewood Cemetery, but only after dark, and more surprisingly, it does. Stand at the wall once the
00:39sun is down and the graffiti is just there, with no quest marker and no phone call telling you that
00:45you found anything. Daytime gives you an ordinary cemetery, and the cover of Night gives you a
00:51signature the map declines to explain. Myth Hunters filmed it like a haunting because the game never
00:56admits it's an easter egg, which is how a texture change becomes a ghost story. Nobody in the
01:02mission list cares that you made the trip, and the clock is the whole puzzle, while the wall is
01:07patient enough to wait for players who only heard about it from a blurry upload. Bad Cyclist. Grand
01:13Theft Auto Vice City. Okay guys, nice and easy, just as we planned.
01:22Vice City has a rider in the traffic named Hillary, and the Playground version says he dies if you let
01:29the chase finish. Turns out, he does. There's no mission card and no obituary in the pager,
01:35just a cyclist the city is willing to lose while you're still trying to figure out what you were
01:39supposed to stop. It feels like a creepypasta because Rockstar buried an ending in ordinary
01:45traffic and never flagged it. You can save him if you catch the moment, but you can also watch the
01:51rumor finish itself between two stoplights. Most secrets in this series hide in a basement or behind
01:57a bad door, but this one is commuting, which is why people argued about it for years before a clean
02:02clip settled the argument. Hey guys, get in! I got you covered!
02:10Lights on. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Shady Creek's has a cabin players said lit itself after dark,
02:17and the next sentence was always followed by a man with a chainsaw. Walk up once the map has gone
02:23evening and the building inexplicably lights up, like somebody is home and simply not answering,
02:29because, well, nobody is. The killer never got coded, no matter how many videos prop up a redneck with a
02:36mutter next to a porch and call it proof. Rockstar built the light and left the tenant out, which is
02:42exactly enough to keep a myth alive for 20 years. The rumor was doing all the work, the NPC never
02:48did,
02:48and the empty room is the part that still feels wrong after you know why. Drunk Wake Up. Grand Theft
02:55Auto 4,
02:56The Ballad of Gay Tony.
03:02Longtime GTA 4 players said that in The Ballad of Gay Tony, the game would drop you inside the
03:07Statue of Happiness if you blacked out, and you know what? It will. Drink until Louis folds, and
03:13there's a chance you'll wake up next to the giant heart hanging in the pedestal, the same prop the
03:18base game already hid behind a door with no collision. Surprisingly, despite all the over-the-top
03:24shenanigans in the series, this one is the most realistic, and perfectly portrays Black Night Out
03:30with no reasonable explanation for where the night ended. There's no riddle to solve or a mission you
03:35missed, you just fail the night out, and the statue let you in like a bouncer who had just given
03:41up.
03:47Desert Escape. Grand Theft Auto, San Andreas.
03:51We pay them to lie to us. Is that what our founding fathers wanted? No more, friend. No more. We're
03:57not alone.
03:58Get off me, man!
03:59For a while, the San Andreas jetpack was a base rumor, something you stole if you knew which fence
04:05to hop in Area 69. Then, people found the Truth's Black Project and flew the thing out of the desert
04:12on a mission the hippie hands you once he trusts you enough to admit the government has secret toys.
04:17The myth was a real objective with a bad sense of direction. Players had been casing a military base
04:23looking for a pickup the story was going to give them anyway. You still have to infiltrate the base,
04:28and you still have to get out with the alarm-having opinions about your escape,
04:32but you just don't have to pretend the rumor invented the exit.
04:36The clip of somebody actually lifting off is what retired the fence theory.
04:40Intruder is stealing the jetpack!
04:42Military personnel outside are firing well! Take them out! That's a $60 million project!

05:03GTA 5's Infinity Killer was supposed to leave a motel room behind, blood on the floor, and nobody
05:10checked in. However, the room is still there. A murder board at the police station points at the
05:16stain, and you can walk in and stand on it, only the guest never arrives. Rockstar built the evidence,
05:23but for whatever reason, skipped the arrest. Myth videos treated the door like a boss gate that
05:29would open if you waited long enough, only it doesn't open onto anyone. There's still the mess
05:34and the story on the wall, and the confirmation this was once his workshop is quieter than the
05:40rumor wanted. Would-be hunters went looking for a tenant, but the game had already finished without
05:45one. Robe Ending, Grand Theft Auto 5. At first, the Epsilon tracks look like junk mail, which is why
05:59players assumed the cult was a radio bit you could ignore. However, if you follow the pamphlets and buy
06:05the robe, suddenly the program has a real ending, including the beam that yoinks you off the mountain
06:11like an Uber you didn't order. You can ignore every pamphlet, and the map will never scold you
06:16for walking past it, but if you finish it, a tractor beam treats the obedience like a fare that has
06:22come due. The secret won't start until you are standing on a ridge in a robe the city was happy
06:28to sell you. Players who wanted a conspiracy instead got a dress code and a cutscene that removes them
06:33for simply doing what the pamphlets asked. You can consider your enlightenment revoked, you son of a
06:39bitch! And you can consider this my refund. It Flies, Grand Theft Auto 3. GTA 3 gave players a plane
06:47appropriately named the Dodo that was never designed to leave the ground. The flight manual might as well
06:53have been a rumor, nothing more than a straight claim that the wings were broken. However, players
06:58proved it can, but only if you abuse the physics hard enough to convince the wings they have a job.
07:04Somebody managed to clear the water on camera, and suddenly the playground dare stopped being a dare.
07:10Rockstar purposely built an aircraft that refused to fly, and then just left enough lift in the model
07:15for a stubborn pilot to argue with it. It's one of the rare times you're not simply finding a hidden
07:21vehicle in the game, and instead are winning a fight with the handling.
07:25Room 3C. Grand Theft Auto Vice City
07:34Vice City players found a bloody department with no mission marker tied to it, and no reason for
07:40its existence, so naturally, only those who found it believed it existed. However, the room is real,
07:46but the suspect never spawned. Turns out, what they were standing in was a Scarface homage,
07:51the kind of tiled bathroom mess the movie leaves behind when Tony shows up with the wrong tools,
07:56dropped into a game that was already heavily borrowing that film's suits and sunsets.
08:01Rockstar built the crime scene, tracked the blood across the floor, and left the victims out of the
08:06files. So, the mess is all that waits inside. Apartment 3C is the series deciding a movie stain
08:13is enough to start a legend, but one that only has any meaning for those who understood the reference.
08:21Committed Pilot. Grand Theft Auto, San Andreas.
08:25Respect for the hood. All clean as shit. Looking too skinny, CJ.
08:31San Andreas players swore aircraft would dive at the ground, or at them, like a pilot had quit mid-route.
08:38And then, even more players noticed these planes unexpectedly, and unexplainably, dropping from the
08:44sky. Planes spawn on paths that clip Chileid and the desert, and the AI simply doesn't pull up when
08:50the mountain disagrees. It looks like a last run filmed on purpose, but instead is a pathing bug
08:56with a pilot who refuses to blink. One crash feels accidental, like a secret the map saved for a
09:02camera, whereas a second crash gives the route away, because the flight plan simply forgot the ground
09:08was solid. Nobody at Rockstar ever labeled it an event, but the smoke shows up anyway, and the next
09:14plane is already on the same bad heading.
09:17Catalina, what have you brought me today?
09:19Eric and Tiger.
09:21Who could ever...
09:25Wet Saucer. Grand Theft Auto 5.
09:35A crashed ship off the GTA 5 coast was forum noise until somebody dove down to prove it and came
09:42back
09:42with footage. The UFO is down there, sitting in the dark like it had been waiting on a scuba team
09:48the
09:48whole time. Pieces of the same wreck are scattered inland, and Omega will complain about a recent crash
09:54like the Navy owes him a phone call and an apology. The hunt ended underwater, which is a convenient
10:00place to hide confirmation from people who had been staring at a summit for years. Swimming to the sites
10:05is the entire interaction. Players spent night after night on Chileid for a rumor that was sitting on
10:12the seabed, waiting on the one person stubborn enough to look down instead of up.
10:23Ridge Ghost. Grand Theft Auto 5.
10:30Hikers swore a woman stood on a ridge in GTA 5 where no pedestrian was supposed to spawn, pale against
10:37the
10:37rock and gone if the camera took too long. Jolene Cranley Evans is real, tied to her missing person
10:45board in town, and shows up on Mount Gordo rather than Mount Chileid. Simply finding and observing her
10:52is the whole reason for the hike. There's no dialogue, no case to investigate, and no rescue
10:57hiding in a second visit if the weather is better. Myth videos chased her like a boss with a health
11:02bar
11:03and a weak spot, and instead she's a spawn with a name and nothing else. Just a woman the game
11:09remembers but refuses to help.
11:17Beating Heart. Grand Theft Auto 4. Since launch, GTA 4 players believed the Statue of Happiness had
11:24something alive in it, and for once, the rumor was understating the room. The pedestal door has no
11:30collision, and if you stroll past it, you'll find a ladder, leading to a giant heart hanging on chains
11:36inside the landmark. Veins running out toward the copper like the builders got bored of patriotism
11:42halfway through. If you shoot it, it'll still bleed, but no mission claims the room, and no remaining
11:48proof marks the visit. There's no reason for it to exist, and considering how difficult it is to
11:53confirm its existence, it clearly wasn't designed to be easily found. Liberty City's postcard has a
11:59pulse, and the pulse is a prop that is the literal beating heart of the city. Wrong Passenger. Grand
12:06Theft Auto 5. What do you got? There's a couple more lonely hitchhikers for you to rehabilitate or
12:14whatever. You know, just give me the money, alright? I really don't give a shit. At first glance, the altruist
12:19camp looked like set dressing until players brought the wrong company up the hill and didn't come back
12:25down. Bring along the wrong passenger, and the drop-off stops being a favor done for gas money.
12:30The rumor was cannibals in the woods north of the map, where robes and a fire and a story that
12:36got
12:36worse the longer it sat on a forum. The clip is the player on that fire, which is a stronger
12:41confirmation
12:42than a shadow between the trees. Rockstar let the camp sit there like scenery, then wrote a fail state
12:48for anyone who treated the weirdos as a taxi stand. Visiting for business is fine if the room
12:54gets read correctly, but the myth gets real the moment the passenger was a mistake the camp decided
13:00to keep. He wants our positions of power! The internet has driven him crazy! Ghost Cars. Grand Theft Auto San
13:11Andreas. San Andreas players kept finding empty cars in the woods, usually a beat in Glendale,
13:17with nobody around to have driven them there and no road that explained the parking job.
13:22Myth videos called it a haunting and filmed the tree lines searching for a spectral driver.
13:28Shockingly, the cars are real. The reason is the traffic spawner drops vehicles into the forest where
13:34they were never meant to be, and the game's systems can call almost anything onto a dirt path and then
13:39forget it there. Versions with the headlights on and a figure at the wheel are edits, but the parked
13:45ones are the game forgetting they needed a road. At dusk, the rumor still works because an empty car in
13:52the wrong place does not need a specter to feel wrong. Sky Denial. Grand Theft Auto 5. A white cube
13:59hovering west of Humane Labs was believed to be a datamine ghost until somebody flew over it and filmed
14:05the text on the side. It reads, this does not exist, playing as a loading tip, and its twin sat
14:12under the map
14:13for anyone who wanted to clip through the map for a quick look. Rockstar deleted the Sky one about 12
14:18years later, long after the clip had already done a lap of every myth channel that still cared about
14:24Los Santos. However, to date, the underwater copy never got the same send-off. What started as a
14:31file name in a dump became a thing people rented a blimp to go see, then a thing the studio
14:36quietly took
14:36back like the sentence had overstayed a shift. Rockstar didn't want players to believe their
14:41own eyes, but thankfully, the footage already existed. Summit Lights. Grand Theft Auto 5.
14:53San Andreas players never found a saucer on Chileid, no matter how many nights they camped the
14:59summit with nothing more than a camera and a theory. However, GTA 5 players did. Once the save hit 100
15:06%
15:07glyphs cut into the mountain, a mural in the cabin station, then lights emerge over the summit that
15:13the old game had only promised in forum posts and blurry edits. The rumor finally paid off a
15:19generation later, which is a long time to make somebody keep climbing. The checklist just to even
15:24witness this abnormality is as tall as the mountain itself, but the hunt that made San Andreas feel
15:30unfinished was a sequel being patient. Anyone who froze on that mountain in 2004 was just too early,
15:37because the sky and their completion rate wasn't ready for them yet.
15:49Tuesday Costume. Grand Theft Auto 5.
15:52Man, you believe in that bullshit?
15:53I spent eight years combing these woods. I've seen one hundreds of times. I just never got a clear shot.
16:00Here, look at this. It's fresh sketch.
16:03San Andreas never had a Bigfoot and Terry Donovan said so in plain language, while Obie Verme later
16:10said the growl on Chileid was CJ being hungry, which is how a stomach noise launched a decade of
16:16night hikes. Even still, GTA 5 put a Sasquatch behind a peyote plant anyway on a Tuesday in the
16:23right weather and after the right story flags. The myth jumped a game and became a costume that
16:29finally gave long-standing conspiracists proof. The rumor the first game refused to code is
16:34replaced with a mission that takes jabs at their theories, but only if the calendar cooperates like
16:39the secret is a bus with one route. Players spent years in those woods for a hunger cue,
16:45while the sequel handed over the suit and made the day of the week part of the price. It plays
16:50like
16:50an apology that still mocks them like an episode of Finding Bigfoot.
16:54I'm the last of my kind. Evolution is a bitch. We've lived in these woods a thousand years.
17:03Snowcat. Grand Theft Auto 5.
17:06Paleto players kept reporting a big cat in the snow that wasn't a dog and wasn't interested in being
17:12filmed. A shape on a ridge that vanished when the rifle came up. However, the big mountain kitty is a
17:18real spawn, but sightings stayed rare because the spawn rate was so wildly low that one blurry clip
17:24was enough to start a year of people camping that ridge with too much patience and not enough sleep.
17:30Finding the elusive cat is possible, and the rumor worked because the map is big enough to
17:35hide a predator and quiet enough to let players build a cryptid around a normal animal.
17:40Stop Looking. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
17:43Hey! Hey CJ!
17:45What's up?
17:46What's up man? Wanna go to prison?
17:48What?!
17:49Players started claiming there was a sign on the Gantt Bridge in San Andreas that told hunters to quit.
17:55It is up there, coded, and unimpressed with the search. Stated plainly in a sentence the builders
18:02didn't bother to hide very well once the climb was done. There's no reward past the text,
18:07the sign is the only reward for the difficult climb. Players who had been combing the state for a
18:12monster found a developer telling them the monster was the hobby, which is a rotten thing to leave on a
18:17bridge after the cemetery tag and the empty cabin had already done their work. Reading the sign is the
18:23whole interaction, and the answer was to go home.
18:26Man, why don't you stongs out with that shit to get in the car, you fool?
