00:00I want to start with the Chargers and what you think happens going forward in L.A.
00:06Because, I mean, it's one thing to open up 0-7 straight up.
00:11But to go 0-7 against the spread shows that not even Vegas can figure out just how bad this
00:18Chargers team is.
00:19And in that spot coming off of bye week, historically speaking, teams after week five that were winless off of
00:26bye week
00:27were covering at a pretty significant, like 75% clip, they were covering the next game.
00:33And they get worked by the Rams.
00:35They lose.
00:36They don't cover.
00:37What's the future in L.A. for the Chargers?
00:41Well, first of all, I was on the Rams minus six and a half.
00:44I said all week this line isn't big enough.
00:46The only reason the Rams are not favored by more is because they played out of their competition.
00:50So that risk is definitely inherently in there.
00:53So I thought the Rams are going to absolutely just bring them to the woodshed the entire time.
00:57I mean, so like that look, the Bolts are just a freaking mess, dude.
01:02I think they're going to ride this for the rest of the season with Harbaugh McDaniel because the backup is,
01:08do you think Adam Gase, who's the passing game specialist, is going to do even better?
01:13He's a total dumpster fire.
01:15I mean, good Lord, don't let that man near anything white and powdery, by the way.
01:19But a conversation for a different day.
01:21But so the Colts, I mean, the Chargers, I just think they're an absolute and total dumpster fire, man.
01:27I think the question is, have we seen enough with Harbaugh to where you retool yet again?
01:35Or is it time we need a fresh voice in the locker room?
01:39And I know Harbaugh is a winner.
01:41He's been a winner and stuff like that.
01:43But again, this is kind of one of those situations, like it's kind of like the team version of the
01:47Bills where it's like,
01:49OK, we won some games.
01:50Can we get a coach to get us over the hump?
01:52And now like, but this is also a team that's kind of in flux.
01:55It's like, what do you do with this offense?
01:59What do you do with this offensive line?
02:01What do you do with this defense?
02:02You've got a lot of expensive and very often hurt pieces on it.
02:06I think the Chargers, just because of how their coaching staff is assembled, will ride this the rest of the
02:12season.
02:13The way that I see this playing out, Peralt, I think Harbaugh is fired.
02:17I think McDaniel is fired.
02:18I think what makes the most sense and honestly could be a really good fit is reuniting Justin Herbert with
02:25Shane Steichen.
02:28Wow.
02:30So what does that look like from a package perspective?
02:34Like what, what, what are we, I mean, is Herbert worth a first round pick?
02:40I mean, I think Shane's going to get fired by the Colts.
02:42So you think Shane gets fired and then Shane winds up as the OC in LA?
02:46Yep.
02:47I think he's going to be the head coach.
02:49I think the Bolts could name him the head coach.
02:52So Shikin gets fired.
02:54Wow.
02:55You think Shane Steichen gets fired by the Colts and the Chargers hire Shane Steichen as their head coach?
03:00I mean, what are the better options?
03:03If you're looking, if the Bolts are not saying, okay, we need to tear this down and we're just going
03:07to trade Justin Herbert.
03:09If that's how route they go, then fine.
03:12Then all cards are off the table.
03:13Then it's like, do they go the Dolphins route and really just truly just rip it all the way the
03:19frick down?
03:19You have parts and pieces here.
03:22Like you still have Rashawn Slater.
03:24You still have Joe Alt.
03:25You still got Ladd McConkie and Amarian Hampton.
03:27They're still talented players.
03:29I know Ladd has had lots of trouble staying healthy.
03:32Amarian Hampton's not being utilized at all properly this year.
03:36So what does that look like?
03:38And I think if you're trying to marry this between, I don't think this is going to be a franchise
03:43that fully just throws in the towel and gives up on Justin Herbert.
03:46I just don't think that they're probably there yet.
03:48So if that's the case, then we're going the rehab route yet again for Justin Herbert.
03:54And if we're going to do that and then for an office does that and the ownership wants to do
03:59that, what makes the most sense also based off of the landscape?
04:05Like, are you going to bring in somebody like a Declan Doyle and stuff like that?
04:09Are you going to try to give him the bag or like, you know, I'm not going to say they're
04:13moving on from him, but Baltimore is another team.
04:16And that's like, you know, what do they do over the next for the rest of the season?
04:20Are they going to be now sellers at the deadline?
04:22So, I mean, how do you see this situation playing out?
04:24I think they're in a real tough spot.
04:27I think that they have to figure out first and foremost, whether or not you believe that Harbaugh is still
04:32an NFL head coach.
04:34Because I think there's folks in Michigan that are really hoping that Harbaugh gets fired and that Michigan would love
04:40to go a la Jimbo Fisher going back to Florida State, that they would go and take Harbaugh back and
04:46put him as the head coach in Michigan.
04:48So, I think that draw and that weight is big in there.
04:53So, I think there may be some mutually parting of the ways if the Michigan job were to open back
05:00up again.
05:00I think maybe Harbaugh goes back to the place where he won a national championship and maybe he's just relating
05:05better to college kids than he is to NFL players.
05:09I think I am always picking the player over the coach.
