00:00Meadow, not to overstate the obvious, but you are a female.
00:04I am, though.
00:04And you don't, I feel like, I don't know what the ratio is to male to female magicians,
00:09but I feel like it's...
00:10It's very low.
00:11It is.
00:12I can give you the figures on this.
00:13Oh, can you?
00:14So I think, as a member of the Magic Circle over in the UK,
00:16and I think their statistics currently, they've looked at it,
00:19I think it's 95% male, 5% female.
00:21Get out.
00:21That's wild.
00:22Yeah.
00:23Why is that?
00:24You might get to answer that better than me, Meadow.
00:26Witches.
00:27Witches.
00:28They all look burned.
00:30Witches get stitches.
00:32So, well, I want to ask, were you inspired by other female comedians or comedians
00:36or magicians, or was it the male?
00:38No.
00:38So I have a background in musical theater.
00:41Yeah.
00:41Love it.
00:42And I just was struggling.
00:44I started a family, and I was struggling to find rehearsal time and having a babysitter.
00:47And, you know, magic is really, can be a bit of a solo art form
00:51where you can rehearse on your own in front of a mirror.
00:53And so I gravitated towards that in that way.
00:56And the avenues that you can take with magic are really fun.
01:01I also have a background in customer service,
01:04and I like sort of the puzzles of trying to solve a problem.
01:08Right.
01:08And magic is really great for that because that's all it is.
01:11You're solving problems and puzzles all the time.
01:14So puzzles you make.
01:16It's like being a musician.
01:17I mean, really, you've got to sharpen and constantly work on your craft.
