00:00All right, let's get into this because tonight ESPN is going to unveil their college football playoff bracket.
00:07The committee is going to say, here it is.
00:10Here's where we're going to go.
00:12If we go by the expectation, this is what Yahoo Sports expects the top five teams to be tonight.
00:20Miami with the best offense in the country and arguably the best wide receiver, maybe the best quarterback, not really
00:29the best offense.
00:30They were lucky to beat North Carolina, but they did.
00:32They're 8-0.
00:33Georgia, best team in the SEC.
00:35They probably would be number one if they didn't lose to Auburn, but they lost to Auburn.
00:39They have a loss.
00:40Utah, well, they destroyed Cincinnati.
00:44They were not going to get into that trap after Cincinnati had a big win last week or two weeks
00:48ago.
00:49Last Saturday, Utah took care of business easily.
00:53Indiana was lucky.
00:54Okay, again, they've had some very near scares, some very tight games lately.
01:00Indiana, though, most likely winds up in the top five and BYU winds up with seven and one right there.
01:07But BYU and Utah are playing against each other this coming weekend.
01:12This is going to be very interesting, not at the top to me, but at the bottom as to what
01:17the committee does from eight to 11.
01:21And I put together what I think the bracket would look like tonight.
01:25Okay, this is what I think is going to happen.
01:28I think Boise is going to be your group of five representative.
01:33I think Indiana will wind up number five.
01:37I think UCLA will wind up somewhere around seven or eight.
01:42Alabama, I think, is going to be in the field.
01:44I do think the Crimson Tide will get in.
01:47I do think you're going to see Texas in the field, and I think you're going to see Kentucky in
01:53the field as well.
01:54So if you're keeping score, that is a bunch of teams.
01:59That's five teams from the SEC that are in this bracket.
02:03Now, do we want four teams?
02:05That's four teams.
02:06Sorry, four teams from the SEC are in the bracket.
02:08That's a third of this 12-team bracket from the Southeastern Conference.
02:13You're going to hear a lot of SEC bias if this is what this looks like, okay?
02:18The Big Ten has some issues because Ohio State is part of this bracket tonight.
02:24I don't think Ohio State is making the playoff, all right?
02:28I think when you realize just how poor the quarterback play was last week for Ohio State
02:35and the fact that they're going to have to face some really stiff competition
02:39because everyone sees a wounded animal with Ohio State, I don't think they can afford one more loss.
02:47I think the Buckeyes have got to run the table.
02:49So to me, I don't think the Buckeyes are getting in to the playoff.
02:53So right now, I think at the first projection, they're going to wind up in,
02:58but I don't think they're going to get in, okay?
03:00I don't think they're going to get in, and that will send shockwaves through college football
03:07because just looking at that bracket, if we're counting Big Ten teams, right?
03:11Ohio State's in, Indiana is in, and UCLA are in.
03:17Well, you take away Ohio State, and now we only have two Big Ten teams in the bracket?
03:23That won't sit well with the folks in Chicago.
03:26They will start to get very angry about this, and really what they will say is,
03:31this is why we're going to 24 because the bias of the SEC comes through here.
03:37They get four teams in.
03:38We get two teams.
03:40But in reality, it's not the SEC that will cause the problems for the Big Ten, in my opinion.
03:47The problems for the Big Ten will come from the Big 12.
03:50The fact that the Big 12 has Utah, BYU, and potentially Texas Tech all getting in,
03:59that's three spots.
04:01So between the SEC, the Big Ten, sorry, the SEC, the Big 12, and the group of five,
04:08that is eight of the 12 selections gone, and you still have to deal with the ACC.
04:14So you have the ACC and the Big Ten.
04:17You have two conferences for four spots.
04:20Now, Miami is the number one team in the country.
04:23They're getting in.
04:24Like, that's not even a question.
04:26Miami's getting in.
04:27So now you're getting into some really big arguments here about who should get in
04:32and who gets what brackets.
04:33Because by the way, Notre Dame does not have a conference.
04:38So the Irish clearly have to be part of this bracket.
04:42So now you're taking Miami, the number one team in the country, and Notre Dame, another top team in the
04:48country.
04:48You're left with two spots.
04:51That's all you've got left for the Big Ten.
