00:00And Malachi Tony, again, I mean, he will probably win the Heisman
00:04because of the injury with Ohio State's quarterback.
00:07So the numbers aren't going to be as great for Jeremiah Smith.
00:11So Malachi Tony probably does win the Heisman
00:13and probably rightfully so wins the Heisman.
00:15But other than that, I think if Notre Dame secondary
00:20can at least just slow down Tony and not let him have a huge game,
00:23I think there's an opportunity there for the Irish to play ball control
00:29to run the ball and control the line of scrimmage
00:32and don't allow the offense to get going for Miami
00:35and win a low-scoring physical football game and the Irish win.
00:40So is there more on the line for Notre Dame than there is for Miami?
00:46Maybe. I mean, I guess you could probably make that case.
00:49But I'll be very curious to see if they do fall to 7-2.
00:54They play Boston College at home, SMU at home, and on the road at Syracuse,
00:59which, amazingly enough, may be a hard place to play this year.
01:03So I don't know.
01:06You wind up with two losses at the end of the year,
01:09and you're comparing resumes, and your best win is who?
01:14I mean, that's the problem for the Irish.
01:16Your best win might be North Carolina.
01:19Your best win might be Wisconsin.
01:21That's not great.
01:22You can say, oh, well, the BYU loss wasn't really their fault,
01:26but let's see how the Miami game goes.
01:28If they get killed, that could be tough.
01:32The favorite is Darian Mensah for the Heisman.
01:35Tony is 3-1.
01:36Well, the reason why Darian Mensah is the favorite
01:40is what we've talked about before.
01:43There's a bias.
01:45The Heisman is a quarterback award.
01:47So, Darian Mensah being the quarterback of the Miami offense,
01:51it would be more likely that the quarterback would win it.
01:55We talked about this before.
01:55There's only been four Heisman Trophy winning wideouts ever.
01:59Only four.
02:00So, and yes, Malachi Tony is doing those types of incredible things
02:04that puts him into a conversation of,
02:07wow, this is remarkable as to what this kid's going to be able to do.
02:11But at the end of the day, it is about humans voting,
02:14and the human bias is for a quarterback to win the Heisman.
02:19I wouldn't bet the Darian Mensah price because it's not good enough.
02:22I mean, plus 150.
02:23No, thank you.
02:24That number was way higher.
02:25So, I hate betting into markets where you could have gotten
02:28a much better number if you thought that Mensah was going to be live.
02:31I think the last time we talked about the overall Heisman Trophy odds,
02:36Mensah was like 6-1, I think.
02:38And it was really about the wideouts as being the potential to win it.
02:43And that was when Jeremiah Smith was by far the favorite.
02:46But without Julian saying, forget about Jeremiah Smith.
02:50I mean, no offense to the Fahey kid,
02:52but he did not look the part last weekend.
02:55Maybe he gets better, but I don't know.
02:57I don't know about Trinidad.
02:59Trinidad Chambliss is a really interesting story in terms of that market.
03:04That's a very interesting market to bet.
03:08Because if you look at it, right, this weekend, and go, all right,
03:12Ole Miss has a shot here against Georgia.
03:16He didn't, I mean, in terms of performance,
03:20Chambliss did not play well against Texas at all.
03:22So, I heard like a Heisman moment.
03:26He could have done it against Texas on the road, mind you.
03:29Now he's at home against Georgia.
03:32Ole Miss knocks off Georgia this weekend,
03:34and Ugga's only a three and a half point favorite.
03:37So, they're expecting a tight game in Oxford.
03:40I mean, if Chambliss has a monster game,
03:42throws for three touchdowns, runs for another,
03:45and doesn't throw a pick,
03:46and Georgia gets upset by Ole Miss,
03:48yeah, then I do think Chambliss is right back in the conversation.
03:51And maybe you can potentially bet Trinidad Chambliss.
03:53But I think there is going to be, just because of, again,
03:57the way the voters are,
03:58there's going to be some conversations about,
04:02well, in some really big games,
04:03he didn't do what he was supposed to do.
04:06I mean, he is 12-1 Chambliss to win the Heisman.
04:09CJ Carr is plus 750, 7.5-1.
04:15And then Malachi Toney is behind.
04:17Oh, Jeremiah Smith.
04:18Well, that's interesting.
04:20At the book I'm looking at right now,
04:22Mensa is plus 160.
04:24Jeremiah Smith is plus 280.
04:26And then Malachi Toney is 4-1.
04:30I would not bet Jeremiah Smith.
04:32I would not touch that.
04:33That's an interesting, you can shop around.
04:36But that's, yeah, that's an interesting situation on this.
