The Indian Youth Congress has reportedly suspended over 200 office bearers across eight state units for failing to attend Rahul Gandhi's 'Vote Chori' rally held on November 1 at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. While show cause notices were issued and some leaders cited family emergencies, others criticised the party for platforming All India Students' Association chief Neha Bora over internal cadre. In Madhya Pradesh alone, disciplinary action impacted 60 functionaries, including district presidents and general secretaries. The mass suspensions have triggered internal friction and provided fresh ammunition to the Bharatiya Janata Party to target Rahul Gandhi.
