00:00At some point, Craig, it feels like we're a couple of games away from an Embiid injury,
00:08a 48-year-old LeBron James injury, and yeah, they're not a very deep team as it is, so
00:16as long as you can keep, I guess, LeBron and Embiid healthy, you got a good shot at having
00:22a very successful season, but being 82 games and having the injury like those two guys,
00:31just enjoy it while you can, is what I would say to Sixer fans.
00:35Yeah, and what's happening with Philadelphia is really interesting because you think about
00:39the way that we view sports, is that generally we have these predictions at the beginning
00:44of the season where you say, oh, this team's going to be unbeatable, they're going to be
00:49the best team, NFL, baseball, NBA, you saw what happened to the Dodgers, you see what's
00:53happening with the Rams, what's happening, Joe, is the Sixers actually look as good as
00:58everyone thought, which is rare in sports, it just doesn't happen, usually there's some
01:03level of disappointment, there's been none with Philadelphia, and it really doesn't matter
01:07who's played for them either, so credit to them, credit to them, you mentioned it, look,
01:13you don't root for injuries in sports, but yeah, they're not going to be the model of
01:18health all season long, I don't think anybody is in the NBA, but that's my takeaway so far
01:23from Philadelphia, is that the minute that they made the Jalen Brown trade, and then the
01:29minute that they got LeBron James, it was just assumed that this team was just going to roll
01:33and beat everybody, and they have, so I am curious to see if this just continues the entire
01:40season, but I suspect, as you said, Philadelphia's end game is not 50 wins, it's 60, so at what
01:49point does the rest start coming in, like the rest of the NBA, do they really care about getting
01:54a one seed or a two seed, I'm not really sure what the answer is to that, but I think
01:58we do
01:59have to give credit to LeBron James, he knew exactly what he was getting into, it seemed bizarre
02:03at the time that he chose them, but it seems like it was the right choice.
02:08Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see how that goes, because I think they have to manage
02:14it smartly, right, right, if they can manage the Embiid minutes, and they can manage LeBron
02:20at 42 years old, he's not going to be playing back-to-backs and those types of things, I think
02:25they got a pretty good shot to make, to be a contender there in the East, but they have to
02:33manage those guys well, because I think they have enough youth on that team with Maxie and company
02:40that they'll be able to, they'll be able to weather some storms here.
