00:00It's getting interesting with Seattle here because they were originally an 11-and-a-half point favorite with Sam Darnold
00:07starting.
00:08Midweek, we learned, no, it's not Sam Darnold.
00:11It's Drew Locke.
00:12Well, that came crashing down.
00:14Then we learned, well, he's been inactive for two weeks, so maybe Jalen Milrow.
00:19Well, all right, so we got eight, eight-and-a-half.
00:22And now you're telling me Quentin Nelson, we just learned, yeah, he's going to have surgery.
00:26This was the potential Hall of Fame guard they traded for with the Indianapolis Colts, who has played now one
00:35game, and already they're going to be missing him, too.
00:38So I don't know if it wasn't anybody other than Arizona.
00:42I could see this line going a whole lot less than what it has already moved, that's for sure.
00:50Well, look, Arizona's not a good team.
00:52They got the little Minshew bump going there, but the oddsmakers, I think, gave us more of a head-scratcher
00:58here, not as much with the spread, but the total.
01:01The total is 39-and-a-half.
01:04Arizona has either scored a lot of points or given up a lot of points in every game they played
01:09this season.
01:10So that was a really strange one to me, which sort of tells me that they believe that Seattle's defense
01:17way better than what we saw.
01:19So for an example, Seattle, two weeks ago, shut down the Chiefs completely, and then last week got exposed by
01:25the Bears.
01:26So which one is it?
01:27If it's somewhere in the middle, this game's going over that total of 39-and-a-half, meaning that they
01:32don't give up as many points as they did to the Bears, but they give up more to the Chiefs.
01:36Chiefs only scored three on them.
01:37So I sort of suspect Arizona has a shot to keep this close.
01:41I don't buy five weeks of Minshew, but I do think, you know, he could keep teams in the game,
01:48and he did it last week.
01:49He put on Jacoby Brissett's jersey, it almost seemed like, because that's what Brissett's been doing the second that Arizona's
01:54down a lot.
01:55Minshew comes back, and he plays well.
01:58Look, everywhere he goes, Gardner Minshew is a 500-rock-solid quarterback.
02:04He can get you to eight wins, seven wins, probably can't get you to more than that.
02:10I suspect it's a closer game than this line would indicate, and I also suspect it goes over.
02:15I think this is a fun game that the total, just to me, is way too low at 39-and
02:20-a-half.
02:21I don't follow on this one.
02:26Here's the thing.
02:27I think that what's intact is a very pissed-off Seattle defense, and either which way, you cut it, you're
02:35not running on them.
02:36Tyler Algiers, you know, drops 130, 140 yards on – that was Dallas, okay?
02:42There is worlds of difference between Dallas and Seattle's defense, and don't be fooled because the Bears made them look
02:51bad.
02:52Even more reason for you to get really pissed off.
02:55And again, they've got two options, right?
02:58You've got McBride.
03:00Guess who one of the top two best defenses is against tight ends in the NFL team?
03:06Seattle.
03:06You know who the number one best defense against Wilson and wide receivers would be?
03:12Also, Seattle.
03:13You're not running the ball.
03:15You're not throwing it to McBride all day.
03:18So, your options are going to be limited.
03:22It would not shock me.
03:23And don't forget, didn't we see this game already earlier in the year against this defense?
03:28And I think we saw seven total points for Arizona.
03:32So, I believe we are going to get a very angry defense that is going to rule the day here.
03:41It's going to be a better field on both sides.
03:44I don't think it will be terribly high scoring, but if we get more than seven points from Arizona, I
03:50would be shocked in this spot here coming up.
03:55You don't want to admit it, but let's be realistic here.
03:59At some point over the next three weeks when we see each other again here, Craig, we're going to have
04:04a conversation about Carson Beck being the starting quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals here because we've seen this year after
04:12year with Minshew.
04:13He comes in, saves the day, and everyone gets their hopes up, and it's like, woo-hoo, he's not terrible
04:18at all.
04:19Why is he not our starter?
04:20And then you see him play two games, and you're like, now I know why he's not the starter here
04:27and could not be against a worse defense, I think, for Gardner Minshew than Seattle, who's angry to begin with.
