While some of the aid pledged to Haiti will be used for the long term reconstruction of the country,the priority now is to provide Haitians with the basics - like food,shelter and clean drinking water. The country's water supplies were badly affected by the earthquake,many water sources and ground water are now contaminated. One German organization is using its expertise to provide Haitians with what has become a precious commodity.
