Stalled peace talks between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) are likely to resume this week. Talks had been suspended when the rebels captured General Ruben Dario Alzate, who was freed on Sunday. In a Monday television broadcast, President Juan Manuel Santos publicly called on Alzate to explain what he was doing in rebel-held territory. Meanwhile, government negotiators are on their way to Havana, Cuba to meet with FARC representatives to discuss the relaunching of the peace talks. Charles Parkinson reports from Bogota.
