00:22 Yesterday we got the report, the Yankees have reengaged in trade talks
00:26 potentially with the Chicago White Sox for Dylan Seas.
00:31 Craig, where do you think the Yankees stand now?
00:34 If Garrett Cole is going to be sidelined till the end of April,
00:38 maybe missing a month of this MLB season in 2024,
00:41 will the Yanks look to bolster that rotation?
00:44 >> It's hard to say we're so close to the season, but
00:49 it's very clear, Ben, that the Yankees want Blake Snell.
00:52 I mean, there's no question that they want him.
00:54 And maybe the messaging here is that, hey, look, either let's get something done or
00:59 we're gonna pivot elsewhere, and maybe that's what's happening right now.
01:03 I think all along they've wanted another starting pitcher,
01:05 whether or not Cole was healthy, I think was just irrespective of what their plans
01:09 were, and maybe what they're at the point, Ben, where they just cannot get
01:13 a short-term deal done with Snell, and they're pivoting over to not pay,
01:17 essentially, and make a trade for Seas.
01:19 I think all those things are definitely in game and possible.
01:23 But what I would tell you guys, and it's really fascinating through the years,
01:27 is some of these teams, after they go through a full spring training,
01:30 once they realize where they are, White Sox would be one of them.
01:34 Other teams, take a look at the win totals in the 60s and the low 70s.
01:37 When these teams realize, hey, look, maybe this just isn't our year,
01:41 it's not unprecedented to see these very, very late spring training trades,
01:45 like two days before the season begins, where teams just ship guys out and say,
01:50 you know what, tickets are sold, let's just run with what we got,
01:54 we know who we are.
01:55 I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened this year.
