00:11You don't have to be a superstar necessarily, Matt, in the NBA.
00:14You just have to keep grinding it out.
00:17And for every one of these stories we see in the league where a potentially highly drafted
00:22player or highly thought of player doesn't work out, there's a story like Malik Monk
00:26who just kept persevering and now is very wealthy, $78 million.
00:32Good deal for him.
00:33Yeah, very wealthy and also a very key contributor to a good team.
00:38And he's one of the six men in that Jamal Crawford, Lou Williams ilk that is a big producer
00:45for his team, even though it's technically off the bench, he's a key component.
00:50And he's pretty much all offense, but you need that.
00:53There's teams that need that.
00:54They just need that guy to come in, be a spark plug off the bench, put in big points
00:58and, you know, have these spurts where you just go nuts and score, you know, blink of
01:02an eye, you're scoring 13, 15 points and he can do that.
01:06And he's a, you know, he's very skilled offensive player.
01:09So I think it makes sense.
01:10It seemed like he really fit in well in Sacramento.
01:13The fans loved him and he had a great year where he, you know, some people think he should
01:17have been six man of the year is very close between him and Nas Reed.
01:20So I think he's got a good chance to win that award at least one more time, if not
01:24multiple times.
