00:08Georgetown OCPD Assistant Commissioner Razlam Abdul Hamid confirmed that the man was arrested
00:14on Saturday in front of a restaurant along Jalan Batu Ferengi towards Teluk Bahang in
00:19connection with the pileup.
00:22In a statement on Sunday, ACP Razlam thanked the public for their assistance in apprehending
00:27the suspect.
00:29Upon arrest, police found substances believed to be cannabis and methamphetamine in the
00:34man's sling bag.
00:35Preliminary investigations revealed that the man has a criminal record for theft and two
00:40prior arrests for drug-related offenses.
00:43The suspect also tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.
00:48The case is being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
00:53The incident is also being investigated under Section 42, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport
00:59Act, and Sections 186 and 427 of the Penal Code.
