00:02The Philippine Travel Agencies Association, or PTAA, has officially opened this year's

00:11This event is one of the country's biggest travel fairs, showcasing tourism deals with
00:15over 300 local and international exhibitors.
00:19According to the Department of Tourism, the Philippines leads in domestic tourism in Asia.
00:23Meanwhile, the PTAA underscored that they are continuing to work with local government
00:27units, or LGUs, to subsidize or incentivize local businesses.
00:32It's valued at 66.2 billion US dollars, and it's precisely expos and exhibits like this
00:42that help our local destinations be introduced to our tourists.
00:46We are trying to also talk to other local LGUs and how they can sponsor certain things
00:56or subsidize certain things, or diminish the taxes and helping incentivize all the
01:05local businesses as well.
