00:31fruit in a myriad of ways this weekend there was a Tom Pellicero report about how the Deshaun trade
00:37came to fruition the Baker side of things and why we were towards the end of the road with Deshaun
00:44as a starting quarterback in Cleveland we saw Mary Kay touch on this we saw multiple reports
00:49Ian Rappaport saying uh the Browns are going to you know look at the quarterback position after
00:55the first two weeks and it could lead to Deshaun Watson or could lead to Shador Sanders starting
01:00so for then Shador to go out have a pretty quiet but quality that too uh let me let me

01:07so for Deshaun to go out and have a pretty quiet but okay first half followed up by a really

01:14strong winning performance in the second half and the Browns to get their first win of the Todd
01:19Munkin era I really would have loved to know whether there were any difficult conversations
01:25after the game between Deshaun and Todd Munkin Deshaun and the Browns just thinking like hey
01:30what were those reports about yeah what was that uh basically all weekend long where everyone in the
01:35national media could only talk about the idea that I have to be awesome in this game in order to

01:39my job and it's like hey congratulations to Deshaun he did what he had to do to keep it but
01:44it's funny if we want to give them so much credit for and I really do I'm sitting here like

01:49to tell Munkin and everyone like you saw something we didn't see this is amazing but when you have
01:54those reports out there all it tells me is that you were just as ready to give up on Deshaun

01:57anybody else you didn't believe in Deshaun you were at a spot where you thought it couldn't happen

03:24just left to believe you were just as ready to pull the rug out from Deshaun as anybody yeah but

03:39realized the the the whole point of having Deshaun out there is he's got to be the steady hand both

03:47and off the field and if he's having operational issues if he's having this issue that issue
03:53I confidence issues and then he's going out and every couple weeks lobbing bombs at the the media and
03:59fans effectively he held no value to them so I like I actually give him credit for sticking with
04:06Deshaun because they could have just made the decision to bench Deshaun like Thursday if they
04:12were really that pissed about it they could have just pulled the rug then but they clearly decided
04:15there would have been too much egg on their face if they had well there's still egg on their face
04:19and I know that's the that's the interesting slash kind of comical part of all this even when
04:24they kind of get it right they didn't get it right well this is this would have been their chance
04:29they could have came out come out and just acted acted like they saw something that nobody else did
04:34and acted like this was their big grandiose plan and everything else and who knows maybe Deshaun next
04:38week goes back to stinking and then he just thinks the rest of the way and this will just be

04:42but like for this week they could have really done it but the reports that leaked out and what they

11:39I was in the building that day it was not a majority of the Browns organization our Browns fans
11:45it was it was maybe 10 percent two I you don't take a blowtorch to fans you don't do it
11:53especially when you haven't lived up to your end of the bargain if Deshaun Watson had been a really
11:58good quarterback until the injury and meaning they had won and fulfilled all this promise
12:03and he had been a stand-up member of the community here and hadn't brought constant shame to the
12:08Browns organization and then people cheered his injury and he waited two years and he finally said
12:13what he said it'd be different he didn't until yesterday or outside of the Baltimore game or there's
12:19maybe one other game in in five years Deshaun has really bought nothing but shame and embarrassment
12:26to the Browns organization and acted like he's the victim the entire time so is it fair that he has

12:33that he should have thicker skin no but we don't live in a fair era if you if you have
12:38a public job
12:39and you get highly paid and you're the face of the biggest trade in NFL history and you're a failure

12:45that you are going to get a lot of crap for it it comes with the territory right there and
12:49there's
12:49a way to act and and what Deshaun had shown and this is what we just talked about with uh
12:53why the
12:53Browns were getting ready to move off of Deshaun what Deshaun had shown is that mentally he could
12:57not handle being a QB1 because QB1s don't go to the podium and in two different times in the matter
13:02of a month go scorched earth on whether it is the media or the fans they don't do that that
13:07is not
13:08typical and it just shows that you're mentally weak in the moment and you got to be stronger than that
13:12if you're going to be QB1 you can't let the fans beat you and you can't let the media beat

13:17that should be the easiest layup you have if you're a top quarterback
