00:06every move and look at every team. So you would think we got everything on lockdown, but we can
00:11always find some value, and sometimes the value is not betting on these teams. Here are the five
00:16most overvalued, overrated teams in the National Hockey League going into the 26-27 season.
00:28All right, let's take a look at the most overrated teams in the NHL. These ones are
00:35really in no particular order, but you know what? Screw it. This is the order. Coming in at number
00:41five, we have the New York Rangers. They are at 87.5 points coming into the year. Last year was
00:48a terrible year for this team, and I don't think they've had the offseason to offset any of that.
00:54And also, like, I get the Metropolitan Division isn't great, but I still think there are teams
01:00ahead of them who are better. So I don't know where that better is coming from with this Rangers team
01:06after moving on from Panarin. Like, Zabinijad just feels cooked to me. I was very, very surprised
01:14to see Rangers 87.5. That one felt like an easy under for me, personally. At number four, it's
01:20New Jersey Devils. I'm just, I'm done buying into the hype on the New Jersey Devils. 96.5 points
01:25is their Vegas total. I think that's wildly inflated. I am not a fan. I just, I think it's
01:33been a bad mix. I think Sheldon Keefe hasn't been able to get this thing really on the tracks.
01:38Injuries have come up. Like, yes, they have some talented humans playing on this hockey team,
01:42but no. Do I think that this is going to be a 100-point team? I do not. Up next,
01:47the Florida
01:47Panthers at 107.5 points. Everyone is healthy now, so we're just going to assume that this is a
01:52juggernaut once again. And they are going to be a very good hockey team. But 107 points is a bunch.
01:58And this is an aging group. Part of the reason why they had all of those injury issues is because
02:04they got older. Now, they did get better in the offseason, acquiring Brady Kachuk. Could those two
02:08knuckleheads be a bit of a distraction on this team? 100% they could be. And again, this is going
02:13to be a good team. But I do worry that we're all just video gaming this and, hey, new season.
02:19Everyone starts over fresh and everything's going to be fine. No injuries to speak of whatsoever.
02:23Like, these are guys who are coming back from pretty substantial injuries. Also, I hate the
02:28goaltending situation. Going from Bobrovsky to Markstrom. Now, if they get Hellebuck, that probably
02:34does change the math on this a little bit. But as of right now, 107.5 points? Forget about it.
02:40Absolutely not. At number two, Detroit Red Wings. 87.5 points. Might be a little distracting out in
02:46Detroit right now. New GM, kind of interim GM before we do get a new GM in. The captain isn't
02:53the captain anymore. And he's probably not going to play with you. And his trade value has sunk. So,
02:58a team that was already feeling a little cuspy playoff-wise, we're just going to assume that
03:04getting 75 cents on the dollar for Dylan Larkin is going to fix everything? No. Detroit Red Wings?
03:11Absolutely not. Completely overrated, I think, this year. Like, this is 87.5 points for Detroit?
03:18No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No. At number one, Chicago Blackhawks. 79.5 points.
03:25Um, they got a new captain, Conor Bedard. That's great. The team sucks. Uh, they got Bowen Byram,
03:30so that's neat. Um, asset management-wise, not a great move. On ice, it's going to help. But Bedard
03:36is going to start the season hurt. And this is a roster that wasn't having success with him.
03:43I don't, Patrick Kane and Bowen Byram aren't going to turn this thing around. I think this year's going
03:48to be a disaster in Chicago. I think everybody's getting fired, and big changes are happening there.
03:55Like, this is a really, this is a bad hockey team. I'm not, I'm not bought in at all. So
03:59for them to
04:00be close to 500? Not a chance. I don't think we're getting that big jump from this team this season.
04:06No way. No how. So, um, more of a disaster than the Flames? Yeah, like, I would, I think it's
04:13an
04:13interesting conversation to have. I, I was going to say I'd rather be the Flames than the Blackhawks
04:18right now. I, I wouldn't, because Bedard, like, can be a game changer. But, like, at least the Flames have
04:23that foundation and a bit of a direction. The Blackhawks, like, yes, Bedard's better, um, yes,
04:30Nazar is better, and they have Bowen Byram. But, like, Byram, if everything pans out for the blue
04:35line on the, the Flames, there's a couple guys that I would rather have than Byram at the price
04:40tag that he's at right now. And I like all of the pieces around the Flames way better than what
04:47Chicago has. So, yeah, I just, I think it has been a ton of mismanagement out in Chicago, and now
04:52they're in a spot where they have to pay their guy also, with all of this bad stuff going around.
04:56So, I would say, overall, Chicago, more of a disaster than the Calgary Flames. 100% toxic,
05:02I would say that. Absolutely. 100%. So, um, I'm going to assume that there's at least fan bases,
