00:00week 17 has come and gone and I think there are big concerns for the defending champions as the
00:06way they're playing that that banner back there that that's going to stay current um given how
00:11things are going it it was a a tough week for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders as they seem to be
00:17falling at the wrong time let's talk about it so uh Saskatchewan falling to the BC Lions one of
00:27four games on the CFL schedule last weekend um this is a tough one for Saskatchewan as you have
00:36Edmonton slipping on the banana peel last week there was an opportunity to with the game in hand
00:42snug right up against Edmonton get that win you're within like you they go on to beat Hamilton later
00:48on in the weekend but you can still stay four games back you can four points back you can keep
00:53that
00:53game in hand advantage and you face them coming up at the end of the season for a chance to
00:58kind
00:58of take that spot and instead it is just another kind of a lackluster performance and I really did
01:04think that Ouellette and KSB coming back was going to help this offense enough that it was going to
01:12be able to elevate all the other parts of it like they were going to be able to get better
01:15on second
01:16down they were going to be able to keep drives going put more points on the board keep the defense
01:19off the field nice and rested and elevate Keyshawn Johnson and everyone around and it just didn't
01:24work out that way and now BC's a good football team but hate to break it to you you gotta
01:29beat
01:30good football teams to get into the playoffs and or to get to the great cup and so for Saskatchewan
01:35like it has gone from they look like the best team in the league to well best team in the
01:41west to
01:41well they're still gonna host a playoff game not right now they are as it would sit they would have
01:47to go BC and Edmonton to to get to the great cup um that that's out in Calgary so it's
01:53it's getting a
01:53little concerning for Saskatchewan right now there is still time to turn it around and start playing
01:58better but they are not that it's fallen completely away and they're gonna miss the playoffs or anything
02:04and they still may very well host a playoff game but this has got to turn around very quickly
02:09for Saskatchewan really big win for BC who have turned their fortunes around in the last few weeks
02:15Stampeders we're not gonna throw parades for beating winless football teams but that looked
02:20so much better on the road than what they did last weekend um in in Calgary so to get that
02:26win to look
02:27that good against anyone they needed that in a really big way the Edmonton Elks keep finding a way
02:33like nine field goals is not how I'd want to have to beat one of the worst teams in the
02:38league in
02:39Hamilton but that's how good teams do it that's how good teams win these games is just finding
02:45some kind of a way and they were able to do that in a really effective way so good on
02:51them for being
02:51able to do it does it give you the most confidence about them going forward no because this is now
02:56a
02:56couple weeks in a row where the offense has looked a little lackluster against defenses they should be
03:01doing better than but you still feel pretty good for them and then um Winnipeg tough one against Toronto
03:08I thought that they were primed for a bounce back here with Drew Brown at quarterback he had beat
03:13Toronto once already this season it's a tough one for the three down best bets because we had
03:18Winnipeg plus one and a half they end up losing by two so that one stings a little bit um
03:23but
03:24Drew Brown looks like he can be the answer at quarterback I thought the defense would be able
03:29to step up a little bit more than they did uh coming off of the good performance against
03:33Saskatchewan in the Banjo Bowl but tough one for Winnipeg is they're trying to to kind of keep pace
03:37with Saskatchewan and BC in that west playoff race not cross over into the east and have this matchup
03:42with Toronto and then maybe um Montreal going into the um going into the east final so we'll see I
03:51I I still like of the four teams battling for it in the west they still scare me the least
03:55but Drew Brown at least showed he could be a pretty good quarterback for this Winnipeg side so what do
