00:00Hello there, good evening.
00:02Well, following a remarkably mild night last night, where some areas didn't drop much past
00:0619.9 degrees Celsius, tonight we'll feel that bit cooler.
00:11And it will be a mostly dry evening for many.
00:13We've still got some showers drifting in from the west, perhaps merging into some longer
00:17spells of rain across southern areas of England and Wales.
00:19As we head towards the early hours of the morning, we'll also see a mix of some clearer
00:24skies.
00:24Winds will lighten off and that means temperatures will start to lower.
00:28Towns and cities still hold up between 10 to 13 degrees Celsius, perhaps a touch lower
00:33in rural spots under the clearest skies, but it's definitely going to feel that little
00:36bit fresher as we head towards Thursday morning compared to the start we had this morning.
00:42Now Thursday itself, there'll still be some rain in the forecast, mostly in the form of
00:46showers still drifting in from the west.
00:48The odd one or two could be heavy.
00:50Most of the showers towards northwest Scotland, still fairly breezy here.
00:54But on the whole, many of us should see some dry weather at some point tomorrow and plenty
00:58of sunny spells by the time we reach the afternoon.
01:01Now temperatures won't be quite as high as they have been recently, but still pushing
01:04in towards the high teens, low 20s for many of us, perhaps slightly more towards average
01:09across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern parts of England.
01:13Then it should be fairly dry to finish off the day.
01:16We still have some rain pushing in from the west.
01:19Initially a few showers moving through and then longer spells of rain just starting to push
01:23into parts of Scotland, northwest England and areas of Wales through the first part of the
01:28morning.
01:28Some of this could turn heavy.
01:30It will probably turn quite breezy as the rain starts to move through as well.
01:33Staying dry across central, south and southeastern areas of England, so once again a little bit
01:38cooler here.
01:39But otherwise under the cloud and rain, temperatures mostly holding up between 10 to 12 degrees Celsius.
01:45Now it could be a little bit unsettled at times on Friday.
01:48This main band of rain slowly edging its way south and eastward still could be quite heavy
01:53at times and there's plenty of blustery showers following on behind here as well.
01:57So across the northwestern half of the UK there will be some rain, but across the far south
02:01and southeast, although it may start to cloud over into the afternoon, it should remain mostly
02:06dry here.
02:07Fairly similar temperatures, many areas just about pushing into the low 20s degrees Celsius, still
02:12closer towards average across many areas of the north.
02:16And that very much remains the theme for the rest of the week.
02:20We will see some rain at times.
02:21We just need to keep an eye on this feature drifting its way in on Saturday.
02:25There's some forecast uncertainty there.
02:27Some forecast models have it slightly further north or slightly further south.
02:30That could mean the difference between a wet day and a dry day.
02:34So we want to keep an eye on on Saturday, but otherwise forecast certainty is fairly good.
02:39High pressure holding on towards the south, which means there will still be plenty
02:42of bright interludes and feeling warm in the sunshine.
02:45That's everything from me, bye bye.
