00:00Hello there, good evening. Temperatures quite widely got down to the mid to low single figures
00:05last night. In fact, across parts of Cumbria, we got close to freezing and it's going to be
00:10fairly similar tonight. We've got quite a few clear skies out there. That does mean temperatures
00:15are soon going to be dipping away. Even across parts of Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland,
00:19where we've seen quite a cloudy day, skies soon clearing here, so temperatures dipping away.
00:24Across parts of the countryside, once again, temperatures could go down to the mid to low
00:29single figures. It should remain mostly dry. There'll be some mist and fog in places, though
00:33this will clear fairly quickly through Monday morning if we do see any. Most towns and cities
00:38are between 9 to 14 degrees Celsius, so the temperature's holding up fairly well here.
00:43But I think for most, we'll notice that cooler autumnal feel first thing on Monday.
00:48Now, across the far south, it may not turn quite as chilly here. There's a fairly decent
00:52easterly breeze that will stay with us through much of the day. Plenty of bright skies through
00:57the morning. We might start to see a little bit more cloud by the time we reach the afternoon.
01:01The odd shower is possible, but I think most areas will be dry with plenty of bright,
01:06if not sunny spells. And temperatures on the up slightly across many areas, reaching into the
01:12low 20s, the highest of the temperatures across the far south and southeast, where we could see highs
01:16of around 24 to 25 degrees Celsius. Now, overnight on Monday is when we begin to start to see a
01:24little bit
01:24of a change. It won't turn quite as chilly overnight. Once again, a fairly decent easterly
01:28breeze across much of England and Wales will stop temperatures from dropping too low. Also a bit
01:33more cloud than recent nights. That'll also stop the temperatures from dipping away. So a slightly milder
01:39night to come. Most towns and cities between 11 to 15 degrees Celsius, but notice across the far
01:45southeast, temperatures not dropping much past 17 degrees Celsius here. So a little bit of a milder start
01:50on Tuesday. And overall, a slight change in the picture. There'll be more cloud around and also
01:57the potential for some showers, certainly across parts of southwest England through the course of
02:02the morning and then bubbling up elsewhere into the afternoon, a chance we could see some rain across
02:07Northern Ireland and also parts of Scotland. And where we do see the showers, some of them could turn
02:12quite heavy, maybe even a little bit thundery. Now, fairly similar temperatures widely into the high teens,
02:19if not the low 20s, a little bit higher across central and southern areas of England and Wales.
02:24And you might notice by the afternoon, it might just feel a little bit more humid and a little bit
02:28more muggy. And that's a sign of things to come through this week. We're also expecting a bit of a
02:34change
02:34from high pressure to low pressure. That means more showers, a chance of rain. Some of this rain could turn
02:41quite heavy and thundery, certainly as we progress our way towards Thursday and Friday. Now, it's quite welcome rain.
02:47We've had a very dry summer, but that means the ground is also very dry and that can lead to
02:52surface
02:52runoff. And this also leads to some localised impacts such as flooding. So we do need to keep an eye
02:58on the rain because we're likely to see quite a lot in a short space of time. Not only this,
03:03but temperatures are also on the up as well as humidity levels. So it's going to start to feel
03:08quite warm, quite muggy towards the end of the week and leads us back into those uncomfortable nights as
03:13well. Now, there's also some uncertainty in the forecast. So the details may change. So stay up
