A political confrontation has emerged over the SIR exercise and the 2025 electoral list as the Cockroach Janta Party launches nationwide agitations, starting from Mumbai. The outfit, founded by Abhijeet Dipke, has outlined three core demands: the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, the freezing of the 2025 electoral roll, and enhanced transparency in the appointment procedure for the next CEC. Despite Mumbai Police denying permission citing public assembly regulations and traffic movement, the group affirmed plans to proceed on the ground. Simultaneously, the INDIA bloc has initiated its Save Democracy Week, carrying out demonstrations at district levels against the Election Commission. The ruling NDA countered the agitations, questioning the motives behind the protests and claiming the move defends bogus voters. Protesters allege that extensive deletions have disenfranchised approximately thirteen crore voters without adhering to standard documentation verification protocols.

00:00Important ones that our country has seen in the last few days peaking.
00:05It's a political clash that we see over the SIR exercise.
00:11And that battle is no longer to be confined to the political battlegrounds but shall be
00:18on the streets today.
00:20It is October 2nd, the very date that had been announced by the Cockroach Janata Party
00:25stepping up their protest against the Election Commission and the CEC, Gyanesh Kumar.
00:30CJP announced agitations to begin from Mumbai this time.
00:35They have three clear demands at this given point.
00:38Gyanesh Kumar's resignation, freezing the 2025 electoral list, and greater transparency
00:45in appointing the new CEC.
00:48It's the CJP founder, Abhijit Dipke, who says the protests will continue across India until
00:52the CEC resigns and insists that they will go ahead, even without permission.
00:58But Mumbai Police has denied permission for the protests, citing rules governing public
01:02gatherings and traffic concerns.
01:04And as the CJP escalates its stir, the India Bloc is also launching the Save Democracy Week
01:09today with district-level demonstrations against the Election Commission.
01:13NDA, meanwhile, is hitting back questioning the CJP's intentions and accusing it of defending
01:19what is called, what it calls rather, fake voters.
01:25If he doesn't sack Gyanesh Kumar, because after all, he is the one who appointed him.
01:29He was appointed by the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
01:33Am I right?
01:34So, they have the rights to sack him and they should better sack him because if they don't
01:38sack Gyanesh Kumar.
01:39The anger against Gyanesh Kumar would turn towards the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
01:44And I don't understand why the immunity has been given to him.
01:48Why?
01:49Why is that necessary?
01:50Is he above the Constitution of India?
01:52Is he above ordinary citizens?
01:54Is he some God figure?
01:56The protest so much has come from.
01:58Is he above the church?
02:10Is he above the percentage of other citizens?
02:12Let it be, he shall also.
02:13Once again, there is a situation in this country.
02:13And the other people who look at the core of the regime.
02:14Okay, the name of the regime has been to me, and the people have been to the
02:15Pvt.
02:18That they've been to me.
02:19And the other people have Wait in the Chinese, I mean to say,
02:23what the people have been given to me in this country.
02:23And the people of India have been to the same world.
02:24what we have been to this country.
02:25The government had to make that war.
02:47foreign
03:34now from what we are given to understand it will be an action-packed day given that there
03:40has been no permission granted for the cjp protest in mumbai let's take you through
03:46the details of what we know so far with regards to where the police permission stands mumbai police
03:51came out to deny permission for these very protests the cops have come out to say not empowered
03:56to grant the permission in the first place cops have cited rules that govern gathering and traffic
04:02concerns in mumbai for which reasons they cannot be granting permission on the other hand abhiji
04:08dipke has also come out to say that this is an attempt to suppress citizens voices in the country
04:14but this is already a heated up uh situation that we see which will finally be unfolding out on the
04:22streets a little later in the day which we will of course be tracking for you and bringing you all
04:26of
04:26the demand all of the details with regards to but right now let's also take a look at what is
04:32it that
04:33the cjp demands remember there was an ultimatum of 48 hours that had been given by abhiji dipke for
04:40these demands to be fulfilled at least one of these demands to be fulfilled which was the
04:45resignation of chief election commissioner gyanesh kumar but that did not happen which is why he'd also
04:53gone ahead to mention the minute that entire demand is not fulfilled they will be hitting the streets
04:58yet again we've already seen the results of one such protest in the national capital well what this
05:06protest this round of protest cjp protest 2.0 brings that's something we'll keep a track of
05:11but let's go back to the demands number two is freezing the 2025 electoral list because at the end
05:16of the day it's the sir now that's in the heart of the entire controversy the deletion of not lacks
05:23but
05:23crores of voters without due reason and without due uh particular procedure being followed where they
05:33also are given a chance with their documentation to be brought in and basically prove that they are
05:40citizens and voters of the country that in that process is in question at this given point and
05:46number three of course is the transparency in the appointment of the next chief election commissioner
05:51that is what has been demanded by the cjp
