00:02I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:07Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and all his companions.
00:14Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet.
00:17Therefore, O you who believe, send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah with complete submission.
00:23My dear brothers and sisters in faith, as we all know...
00:26The last sermon delivered by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to his companions was the farewell sermon.
00:36Actually, we can consider this the last letter that our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote not so much to his noble companions, but rather to the entire Muslim community.
00:45It would be fair to say this, my brothers.
00:48In this last letter, this final farewell sermon, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the Ummah of Muhammad very important advice.
00:56My brothers, he gave very valuable advice and then passed away and joined his Lord.
01:02So, my dear brothers and sisters, to help you understand how important this last letter is, I'd like to give you an example.
01:10Imagine a father about to leave for a foreign land, waiting at the train station with his children and mother to see him off.
01:21However important the last pieces of advice she gave her children were,
01:25The advice, "My child, don't upset your mother while I'm away," is as valuable as...
01:30Just as it is precious when she says, "My dear children, while I'm here, whatever you do, don't come home late, don't leave your mother's eyes filled with tears,"
01:41These are the words spoken by our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his final farewell.
01:46It was as precious as the last piece of advice a father gives his children at the train station before leaving for a foreign land.
01:52My brothers and sisters, this is what our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gave to his Ummah,
01:58One of the most valuable things he said in that last sermon was this:
02:05Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
02:07Those present here will share with those who are not present a hadith they heard from me.
02:13so that they may convey a verse they have learned from me to those who are not present here.
02:17Look, he came up with such important advice.
02:20My brothers and sisters, this advice from our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) should be very valuable to all of us.
02:29It needs to be very important for all of us.
02:31So, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us advice 14 centuries ago,
02:37It was advice as valuable as a father giving his children when he leaves home to go abroad.
02:42He said, "To spread my religion, to take my religion to new places, you must definitely make an effort."
02:50He gave this advice so that they would get into a fight.
02:54My brothers and sisters, the issue of teaching religion, of conveying religion to people, is not something related to specific groups.
03:02This matter of explaining religion is not a matter for the Directorate of Religious Affairs.
03:06This isn't a matter for certain academics or professors.
03:09It's not the job of theologians.
03:11Because this is a matter of explaining religion, of transmitting religion,
03:15The responsibilities that God has placed upon every person who says, "I too am a member of the Ummah of Muhammad,"
03:21This is one of the responsibilities entrusted to us by our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
03:25My brothers, Islamic scholars have established a general principle in the methodology of Quranic exegesis.
03:32They said that the fact that the verses are specific does not preclude the rulings from being general.
03:39What does that mean?
03:40For example, Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran,
03:43It says قُلْ يَا اَيُّهَا الْكَافِرِينَ, right?
03:46Say, O disbelievers!
03:48So to whom was this verse revealed?
03:50This verse was revealed to our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
03:52But we don't think like that, do we?
03:54"Only tell the Prophet," Allah said.
03:57Therefore, we cannot say that he is only tasked with saying "Prophet," my brothers.
04:02Because what did God do to us through the Prophet as well?
04:05If you also have the ability to say it,
04:08If you can find the words, try to say something for as long as you are able to.
04:13Our Lord has also placed a duty upon us.
04:17My brothers and sisters, as you know, years ago...
04:20Gaddafi, the cruel dictator leader of Libya,
04:24He was killed in a very tragic way.
04:27This man, while reading verses from the Quran, says the following:
04:33for example, قُلْ يَا اَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ
04:35while reading the verse
04:36اَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ
04:38He was reading it like that.
04:39While reading the verse called قُلْ اَوْضُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ,
04:42اَوْضُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
04:43He was reading it like that.
04:44قُلْ اَوْضُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
04:46Then God,
04:47اَوْضُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
04:49He was reading it like that.
04:49When they ask me why I read like this,
04:52The man says,
04:53Saying "قُلْ"
04:54It means "say".
04:56Therefore, God is here,
04:57Say to your prophet, he said,
04:59He didn't tell me to say that,
05:01Therefore, since he didn't say "tell me," I...
05:03these verses,
05:05قُلْ يَا اَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ
05:06I read it like this,
05:07اَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ
05:08"That's how I read it," he said.
05:09This is my brother,
05:10whatever kind of point of view it is,
05:12well,
05:13In the Quran, Allah says,
05:16the mission that he entrusted to us through his prophet,
05:19how to distort the prayer,
05:21in the same way somewhere,
05:23When we see an evil,
05:25When we fail to adapt something that needs to be adapted somewhere,
05:29This is Gaddafi's...
05:31as well as having distorted the wording of the verses,
05:34God forbid, we too...
05:36We would be distorting or corrupting the spirit of the Quran.
05:39For him, God
05:41in the book we tell,
05:43through the prophet as well,
05:44because he ordered us to say
05:45We need to think about it.
05:47My dear brothers and sisters,
05:48As we all know,
05:50Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
05:51immediately after death,
05:53Our Prophet Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him),
05:56As soon as he assumed the caliphate,
05:58Ridda events began.
05:59Well,
05:59Apostasy began.
06:01What was one of them?
06:03Those who did not pay zakat were considered apostates.
06:06Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
06:09I never separate prayer from zakat.
06:12for,
06:13Whatever the ruling is for a person who denies prayer,
06:16That was also the ruling for a person who denies zakat.
06:19he said.
06:20My brothers and sisters,
06:21Our Prophet Abu Bakr,
06:22He went to those who did not pay zakat,
06:24And he said,
06:25Why don't you pay zakat?
06:26When he asked them,
06:28They said,
06:29O Abu Bakr,
06:30We say in the Quran,
06:31The Surah of Repentance,
06:32In verse 103,
06:34We do not deny the verse related to zakat.
06:37Alright,
06:38Then why don't you pay zakat?
06:39You said that to Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him.
06:41Because God,
06:42The Surah of Repentance,
06:43In verse 103,
06:45He said,
06:45O my Prophet,
06:47to purify their possessions,
06:50their possessions,
06:51To immerse in goodness,
06:53their surplus of goods,
06:55as zakat,
06:56He gave the order, "Take it."
06:58Therefore,
06:58This command sent by God,
07:00specifically,
07:01It was a command that He gave to the Prophet,
07:04And the Prophet is also there now,
07:06because he died
07:07this order now,
07:08It has become impractical.
07:10they said.
07:11At work,
07:11Because of this logic,
07:13that is, zakat,
07:14Other than the Prophet,
07:15He can't collect it.
07:16For,
07:16Even if there were such a verse in the Quran,
07:18The task of collecting zakat.
07:20It was solely the Prophet's duty.
07:22For him,
07:22We do not give you zakat.
07:24because of what they said,
07:25Abu Bakr,
07:26may Allah be pleased with him,
07:27This is due to a wrong interpretation of the Quran.
07:30because of this distorted perspective,
07:32My brothers declared war on them.
07:34Alright,
07:34the event here,
07:35What is the aspect that affects us?
07:37You know how I said it a little while ago,
07:39what is called religion,
07:40those men,
07:41It is not something that is given solely into one's hands.
07:43The Directorate of Religious Affairs,
07:45It's not something that's solely in his hands.
07:46Or perhaps it is not something that is solely in the hands of theologians.
07:49In the religion of God,
07:51There is no such thing as a clergy class.
07:53Everyone has to be a religious person.
07:56Therefore, if we too,
07:57Similarly, when we see evil somewhere,
08:00It is not my job to warn against that evil.
08:03This is the job of theologians.
08:05saying that this is the teachers' job,
08:07If we decline the invitation,
08:09If we refrain from commanding people to do good,
08:12In that case,
08:12We too, on that day, followed the example of Abu Bakr.
08:15He declared war on those who do not pay zakat,
08:17Wouldn't we all become people who have adopted that logic, my brothers?
08:21And our master Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him),
08:23On that day, I declared war on that logic,
08:26If he had come to this age and we,
08:28against these evils,
08:29If he had seen us as indifferent and uninterested,
08:32the same Abu Bakr, our master,
08:34I wondered if he would declare war on us too.
08:36Shouldn't we be thinking about it?
08:38For him, the believer
08:39Muslims cannot be indifferent, my brothers and sisters.
08:42In a place where it existed,
08:44against the wrongs done,
08:46cannot remain silent,
08:47One cannot remain indifferent to oppression.
08:50Therefore, Muslim,
08:51delegated tasks to others,
08:54more than being a human being,
08:56in that position,
08:57that he also has a responsibility,
08:59the one that is in the first one,
09:00We need to think of them as human beings.
09:02My dear brothers and sisters,
09:04As I said a moment ago,
09:06In our Islamic religion,
09:08the clergy class,
09:09There is no class.
09:10So God,
09:11this religion,
09:12He did not reveal it to the clergy.
09:13God gave this religion,
09:14from the village to the city,
09:17until you reach the metropolis,
09:18He's letting us know that he's downloaded it for everyone.
09:21He declares it.
09:22And O people,
09:23He speaks to us in his book.
09:25Therefore,
09:26We,
09:27in our religion,
09:28rather than being a clergy class,
09:30everyone,
09:31that he should be a man of his religion,
09:33We need to be in first place.
09:35Alright,
09:36This class of clergy,
09:37From where do we get this information?
09:38It happened,
09:39How did it get to us?
09:40Certainly,
09:41forty times a day,
09:42ghayril magdubi alayhim wa lad dalim,
09:45as we said,
09:46Oh Lord,
09:46we,
09:47Keep away from Judaization.
09:48God said,
09:50And what it made us say,
09:51in the verse,
09:52It came to us from the Jews,
09:53My siblings.
09:54Look,
09:55in them,
09:56They had a chest,
09:58And,
09:58inside this box,
10:00These men,
10:01They were carrying the Torah.
10:02and according to their own beliefs,
10:04to that coffin,
10:05apart from clergymen,
10:07No one could ever touch it.
10:09Well,
10:09in any way,
10:10an ordinary person,
10:12coming and holding that chest,
10:14It was not permissible.
10:15Doesn't it resemble us a little bit?
10:17As if,
10:17The Holy Quran,
10:18When you hold it,
10:19already a striking book,
10:21In this society that has been brought about,
10:23already the Quran,
10:24Nobody can stop it anymore.
10:26isn't it?
10:26Only,
10:27Great men understand,
10:28Great scholars understand,
10:30only him,
10:31The teachers will understand.
10:32however,
10:33Because academics will understand,
10:35such logic,
10:37because of what we have put on,
10:38We don't even abide by the Quran.
10:39isn't it?
10:39We are not even at peace with the Quran.
10:41isn't it?
10:41Let's ask a question now, for example,
10:43latest,
10:43When did we speak with the Quran?
10:45Yes,
10:46Brother,
10:46Can a person talk to the Quran?
10:47Of course,
10:48People speak with the Quran.
10:50Person,
10:50As he spoke through the Quran,
10:51When you read the Quran,
10:53when you understand,
10:54He also speaks with his Lord.
10:55Most recently, for example,
10:56When did we last speak with our Lord?
10:58Latest,
10:59whenever I open the Quran,
11:00inside it,
11:01"What does God say to me, my brothers?"
11:03Therefore,
11:04right now,
11:04In the case of our society,
11:05Isn't this it?
11:07Well,
11:07religious,
11:08only someone understands,
11:10the hierarchy we have given,
11:12religious,
11:13just someone telling,
11:15the instinct we have given,
11:17because we turned it into a phenomenon,
11:19What are we doing?
11:19We even distance ourselves from the Quran, and who are we to understand the Quran?
11:24Who are we to think that we should quote a verse from the Quran or a hadith from the Prophet to people?
11:30Look, my dear brothers and sisters,
11:31As we said then,
11:33In our religion, there is no class of clergy.
11:36We will all think we have to be religious figures.
11:40Why?
11:42What did our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tell us in his last letter?
11:45Those present here,
11:46He told them to pass on what they heard from me to those who weren't here.
11:50So he gave an order, my brothers.
11:52Right now, for example, we are in a mosque environment.
11:54We are in a conversational setting.
11:56For example, we hear the words of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
11:59And after we leave here,
12:01When we go home,
12:02When we go to our workplace,
12:04What we've heard here, we have to pass on somewhere, my brothers.
12:08Because our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says:
12:12Because the person you mentioned,
12:15perhaps the hadith he heard from me,
12:17He understands the verse he heard from me better than you do.
12:20And he lives better than you,
12:23He says that one can become a very valuable person in the eyes of God.
12:27So sometimes that happens,
12:29You explain Islam to someone,
12:31You offer the man a verse from the Quran or a saying of the Prophet,
12:33You think of yourselves as good Muslims and all that,
12:35then from the verse you quoted,
12:38This man, influenced by the hadith,
12:39He becomes a Muslim in such a way that,
12:42You envy him/her.
12:43So, they've probably surpassed you by a wide margin,
12:47You will see that they are far, far better than you in servitude.
12:50And you'll be surprised by that.
12:52Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters,
12:54The verses we have heard from God,
12:56The hadiths that we have heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him),
12:59In his last letter, he asked us to pass it on to him.
13:01We must heed this praise from our Prophet, who gave such advice.
13:06Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also says:
13:09If you wish Allah to make one of you look good,
13:15My brothers are asking me to share any hadith you have heard with others.
13:19Allahu Akbar.
13:20And he says,
13:22May Allah brighten the face of whoever transmits a hadith from me.
13:26Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) made such a prayer.
13:29Why is this so important?
13:31My dear brothers and sisters, you are important because you have received the Prophet's blessings.
13:34Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in Medina,
13:37When the time comes, all the Ansar,
13:39Those who had arrived stood at the gates of Medina,
13:41Everyone is waiting for the prophet.
13:43Why are they waiting for the prophet?
13:44Because when the Prophet came and entered Medina,
13:47He will say to them,
13:48He will say "Salamun alaykum".
13:49Because he said, "May the peace of Allah be upon you,"
13:53because he will pray for them,
13:55They waited for days in front of the gates of Medina for the Prophet.
13:59So, Ansar means,
14:01For days they stood at the threshold of Medina's gate to receive the Prophet's blessing.
14:06It means people waiting for the prophet.
14:08Do we also want to receive the Prophet's prayer?
14:11Here you go,
14:11Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
14:13If you want to receive the Prophet's blessings, he says,
14:15a hadith from me,
14:17He praised me,
14:18in some place we've been,
14:20My brothers and sisters are telling me to deliver this to people.
14:22This is very important, my brothers and sisters.
14:24Receiving the Prophet's blessings is very important.
14:26If we are Muslims now,
14:28ideas that we were thinking about 20 years ago,
14:30still thinking the same way,
14:33if we can sustain it,
14:33currently still stable,
14:36If we can be in a conversation circle,
14:38even now, 20 years ago,
14:40The gift that God gave us 30 years ago,
14:42If we are carrying the excitement,
14:44Honestly, maybe somewhere,
14:46We have received the Prophet's blessing.
14:48The prayer that God offered to His prophet,
14:51It has manifested itself upon us.
14:53Therefore, sometimes the skill is not in ourselves,
14:56I wonder which beautiful hadith I should quote?
14:59I went somewhere,
15:00I offered one to someone,
15:02God did not allow any deviation from my righteousness.
15:04God is on my path,
15:06He wouldn't let me wobble,
15:08He wouldn't let me sell the road.
15:10That's what we can think, my brothers.
15:12Look, my dear brothers and sisters,
15:14We all know that, right?
15:17There are intelligence agencies of states around the world.
15:20Then there is Mossad,
15:21The CIA exists.
15:22The FBI exists,
15:23What are their roles?
15:25Their duties are,
15:27to ensure security in their countries,
15:29by collecting confidential information,
15:31in any way,
15:33when a terrorist act or something like that is about to happen,
15:35What do they do with that secret information they have in their hands?
15:38To serve the security forces.
15:40Isn't that their job?
15:41So they defined the mission of such an intelligence agency,
15:45Therefore, so that there may be peace in their countries,
15:47States have established such intelligence agencies.
15:50So, my dear brothers and sisters,
15:52Knowledge derived from a verse of God,
15:54Let me ask you,
15:55Isn't this more valuable than the information Mossad has?
15:58It comes from our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
16:00knowledge of hadith,
16:02to the afterlife,
16:03to a paradise,
16:03one who is destined for hell,
16:05knowledge of hadith,
16:07Isn't this information more valuable to you than the classified information held by the FBI, America's intelligence agency?
16:14Even if you all think this is more valuable.
16:17And then, my brothers,
16:19They are concerned about the security of the people living in their own countries.
16:22to ensure their peace,
16:25if it is supplying to security forces,
16:27Then, my dear brothers and sisters,
16:28we too,
16:30the gunmen of the hellish organization,
16:33Serving to people a divinely revealed knowledge, a verse from God, against Satan and his followers, for their peace in both this world and the hereafter.
16:43Shouldn't we?
16:44Since this information is more valuable than Mossad's,
16:47Then shouldn't we be making an even greater effort than they are?
16:53Since knowledge of a verse from the Quran or a hadith is more valuable than the information held by the FBI,
16:59Shouldn't we be more troubled than them?
17:01What do we talk about in the places we've been?
17:04Are we talking about trade?
17:05Are we talking about politics?
17:08Are we talking about democracy?
17:10What are we talking about, brothers?
17:12If we are not talking about God,
17:14Unless we are talking about the Prophet,
17:16So, this information came from our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
17:20Believe me, we treat this information as being less valuable than what Mossad has.
17:25Perhaps we don't say it in our language, but we prove it with our way of life, my brothers and sisters.
17:31My brothers and sisters are like that,
17:32Our Lord has described the characteristic of this nation in verse 110 of Surah Al-Imran,
17:38The Islamic Ummah.
17:39Our Lord says in that verse,
17:41He says you are the best nation ever chosen from among mankind.
17:46Oh Lord!
17:47Why, O Lord, are we the best of nations?
17:50Because, says God,
17:51because you command humanity to do good,
17:55He says you also keep people away from evil.
17:57So, this is the greatest reason why we are a virtuous nation, my brothers and sisters.
18:03He who commands people to do good,
18:05because we are a community that tries to keep them away from evil,
18:09God has given us value, He has valued us.
18:12Okay, let's see what happens now.
18:14For example, the bad things that happen within our family,
18:17Are we trying to get rid of it?
18:19Our relatives, for example,
18:21They are holding a wedding without paying attention to the separation of men's and women's quarters.
18:23Are we trying to warn people, for example?
18:27Our brothers and friends around us,
18:30For example, taking out a loan with interest,
18:32when they try to get ahead of us,
18:34Oh, please don't do that, professor!
18:35Are we saying that this is waging war against Allah and His Messenger, my brothers?
18:39If we don't say it,
18:41then, in the same way, what God has revealed to us,
18:45This means we have lost the distinction of being the best nation, my brothers.
18:49Allahu Akbar.
18:50Think about it,
18:51perhaps a hundred thousand right now,
18:53isn't it?
18:54There are Diyanet (Religious Affairs Directorate) personnel, my brothers and sisters.
18:57Well,
18:58I'm not saying this to always blame them, but...
19:01The people we know as religious leaders in this country,
19:05emphasizing to people the quality of being this righteous nation,
19:09commanding good deeds,
19:10If only they had protected people from evil as well,
19:13If they had warned,
19:15in this society today,
19:16Taking the string in his hand,
19:18Fathers who slit their children's throats,
19:20Were they ghosts, my brothers?
19:24Her three-month-old baby,
19:27Because I can't look at it,
19:29Mothers who throw things into garbage containers,
19:31Would it have come out in this era?
19:32He picked up a shotgun,
19:34Look at your friends at school,
19:36not from his leg,
19:37not from the stomach,
19:38Students who shot him in the head,
19:41Were they ghosts, my brothers?
19:43So why are these things happening to us?
19:45Because this nation,
19:46the quality of being the best nation,
19:48Because he did not fulfill it, my brothers,
19:51Allah,
19:51that characteristic of being the best nation,
19:53to be among the believers who strive to fulfill their duty
19:56May God grant it to each of us.
19:58My brothers and sisters,
20:00Let's not forget that,
20:01Darkness has no source.
20:04Darkness has no source.
20:06Darkness,
20:06It is the absence of light.
20:09Where there is no light, there is darkness.
20:11Similarly,
20:12Evil has no single source.
20:15Why does evil arise?
20:17It arises from the absence of goodness.
20:20Therefore, God,
20:21Glory be to Him,
20:22to this community that He created for us,
20:25If you don't want evil to emerge,
20:28good deeds in places you've been,
20:30try to extend it,
20:32He has given us a task.
20:34May God grant us the grace to be among the believers who undertake this duty.
20:38My brothers and sisters,
20:39But sometimes, while spreading these good deeds,
20:42Or, when we say we will restrain people from evil,
20:45Satan approaches us from the right.
20:46And it offers some reasons why we shouldn't do these things.
20:50It casts some doubts.
20:51His first suspicion is: what has the devil thrown?
20:55Sir, I'm not a very good person, am I?
20:58I have committed many sins, teacher.
21:00In a place where people haven't seen,
21:02There are times when I give in to my desires.
21:03Therefore,
21:05My explaining the religion of God,
21:06Wouldn't that be a little hypocritical, or something like that?
21:09It makes us admit that we are not good people.
21:12Therefore, it discourages us from talking about good deeds.
21:15It also prevents us from protecting people from evil.
21:19My brothers and sisters,
21:19Look, our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
21:21To the devil's question approaching from the right,
21:24or based on the sentence,
21:26He gave us some very good advice,
21:28He says,
21:29In a hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him),
21:33A Companion came and said:
21:34O Messenger of Allah,
21:35We cannot generalize to all good things.
21:37We cannot stay away from all evil.
21:40Therefore, despite this,
21:42We commanded people to do good,
21:43Should we continue to restrain people from evil?
21:46when he said,
21:47Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
21:49He says,
21:50Which arm has already been created by God?
21:53It encompasses all good deeds,
21:55He said that one can stay away from evil completely.
21:58If that were the case for you,
22:01Never give up on spreading the religion of God.
22:04enjoining good upon people,
22:06from building houses
22:08that is, commanding good deeds,
22:09and to keep them from evil,
22:12My brothers advised me not to give up.
22:15In that case,
22:15When Satan approaches us from our right like this,
22:18I'm not a good person anyway.
22:19I am already a man who has committed such sins,
22:22Who am I?
22:22Who am I to preach religion?
22:24offering hadith,
22:25If he mentions offering verses from the Quran, etc.
22:27Let us remember this hadith of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
22:31Imam Nawaw, may Allah have mercy on him, also says:
22:34If only those who were infallible were to explain this religion,
22:40By God, he says, God's religion could not be preached on earth by any single preacher.
22:45Well,
22:46My brothers and sisters, even those who explain religion are wrong.
22:49Those who listen to religion are wrong,
22:51Those who listen to religious texts are sinners,
22:54Even Ahmet, who explains religion, is wrong.
22:57Even Ahmet, who talks about religion, is a sinner, my brothers.
23:00Therefore,
23:01This is our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),
23:03both based on this statement,
23:05and also Imam Nawawa,
23:06Based on this wise saying of yours,
23:08what are we going to do?
23:09Even if we have made mistakes,
23:11We will not stop spreading the religion of God.
23:14My brothers and sisters,
23:14doubt, cast by the second devil,
23:16Teacher, I had a very bad past.
23:20My family used to pick me up drunk from bars.
23:23I apologize profusely.
23:25They used to pick me up from brothels.
23:28Therefore,
23:29I have a history of drunkenness.
23:31Adultery was involved.
23:32Therefore, sir,
23:33If I were to start explaining this religion now,
23:36They will say to me,
23:38Just look at that guy, look at his face!
23:39Just yesterday you were wandering around drunk,
23:41There was vomit in his mouth.
23:44Until yesterday,
23:45So you were with women,
23:47You were committing adultery.
23:48And now you've come to me,
23:49that drinking alcohol is forbidden
23:51Are you talking about adultery being forbidden?
23:54People will criticize me, teacher.
23:56What is someone doing?
23:58They avoid discussing religion.
24:00Allahu Akbar.
24:01My brothers and sisters,
24:02Look,
24:02There's a very good example of this in our book.
24:05In verse 19 of Surah Al-Arah.
24:08As we all know,
24:09Moses (peace be upon him),
24:10What did Talat大哥 do?
24:11Did he accidentally kill a man?
24:13Before I kill this man,
24:15Moses (peace be upon him),
24:17Look,
24:17He was not chosen as a prophet.
24:19So Moses (peace be upon him) said to this man,
24:21He was not a prophet when he killed.
24:23Allah,
24:23After Moses (peace be upon him) killed this man,
24:26He chose the prophet.
24:27And,
24:28Moses (peace be upon him),
24:29In the 19th verse of Surah Al-Arah,
24:31Our Lord says:
24:32He went to Pharaoh,
24:33and to him,
24:34He spoke about the cause of monotheism,
24:36And Pharaoh said to Moses,
24:39What are you talking about, he said.
24:41Didn't you kill one of our own men just yesterday?
24:44You are a murderer.
24:46You've gotten up,
24:47You've arrived as a bloodthirsty murderer,
24:49So now you're talking to us about good things and all that?
24:52Look,
24:52Moses (peace be upon him) made a mistake in the past,
24:54by bringing up a person he had killed,
24:57He tried to sabotage his invitation.
25:00Let me ask you this question,
25:02What did Allah Almighty tell us here?
25:06Or I would even kill a man who has killed someone by mistake,
25:09I made him an inviter,
25:10If I sent it to Pharaoh,
25:12Brother Dursun,
25:13Or you, as a man who has committed adultery, after you have repented,
25:16How can you go to people and not explain Islam to them?
25:19Until yesterday, in the tavern,
25:21getting drunk,
25:23then you spread your vomit all over the place,
25:25as a man,
25:26How can he leave?
25:28After repenting, you don't preach God's religion?
25:31So let me ask you,
25:32Is killing a man a greater sin?
25:34Or is it committing adultery, or drinking alcohol?
25:36If Allah Almighty made even such a man a caller to Islam,
25:41You were drunk then,
25:43Ignoring those who ask if you are an adulterer,
25:46from the condemnation of those who condemn us,
25:48We must preach the religion of Allah without fear, my brothers and sisters.
25:52And from this we should also know that,
25:54This mindset,
25:56So, digging into people's pasts,
25:58by bringing up some of the mistakes they made in the past,
26:03that it is right for them to extend the invitation,
26:05This mindset, which says it's not true,
26:07That's a pharaoh's mentality, my brothers.
26:09Because that's what Pharaoh thinks.
26:12Pharaoh is stirring up the past.
26:14For him, a believer,
26:15A Muslim's past,
26:18It's garbage, my brothers.
26:19That believer, that Muslim, after throwing that trash into the garbage dump,
26:22But who would stir up a garbage hazard?
26:26Dogs get things mixed up, don't they?
26:28Therefore, we shouldn't pry into anyone's past.
26:31Otherwise, God might reveal our past to someone as well.
26:35Therefore, this also applies to the whispers given by the devil.
26:39What should we do? Should we ignore it?
26:41Let's say some things happened in our past.
26:44Let's move on because God has forgiven us.
26:47My brothers, on the third doubt,
26:49The devil tells us,
26:50Teacher, how can I explain Islam to people?
26:54I don't have any knowledge of the verses [of the Quran].
26:55I don't have any knowledge of hadith.
26:57Or I am learning verses,
26:58I am reading hadith, but...
27:00My tongue isn't very articulate, sir, etc.
27:03What is it doing to us?
27:04Enjoining good is a good deed,
27:05Doesn't prohibiting something prevent one from acquiring property?
27:07"Don't tell me," he says.
27:09You're not very articulate.
27:10When you appear before people,
27:13You get nervous, you can't speak, and so on.
27:15What is it doing to us?
27:16He's withdrawing the invitation.
27:17Listen, my brothers and sisters,
27:18There's a mistake here.
27:19Invitation means,
27:20commanding people to do good,
27:22to prevent evil means
27:24It doesn't mean getting up on a pulpit and giving a sermon.
27:26In front of a podium,
27:29So, to 30-40 men,
27:30Talking for 50 minutes,
27:32It's not just an invitation.
27:33This is just the invitation,
27:35It is an element of it.
27:36But there are many different types of invitations.
27:38Yes, you might not be able to pronounce it.
27:40You give people a verse,
27:42a hadith,
27:42You might not be able to transfer it.
27:44But sir, God has given you this opportunity with a phone,
27:48It has provided a social media opportunity.
27:51So, for example, those of us who are here, right?
27:54Don't we all have social media accounts?
27:56My brothers and sisters, people,
27:57If we are going somewhere, for example to have a conversation,
28:00We can go and get them by the arm too.
28:02You might not be able to explain it.
28:04Wherever you have listened to religion,
28:06If there is someone who does this job better than you,
28:09You can take it to him.
28:10I took his arm too,
28:11You could say, "Come on, teacher, let's go have a chat today."
28:13Look, this is also an invitation.
28:15This is a hadith from God,
28:17a verse from the Prophet,
28:18isn't it?
28:18The goal is to deliver it to people.
28:20And even someone who made a case for it,
28:23That's how bad it is.
28:25He shares such disgusting content.
28:27Nobody is interfering, my brothers.
28:30So we are like this because we don't fear God.
28:33What do we call it, perhaps?
28:35Here's an invitation for you.
28:37Write with your fingers,
28:38with your keyboard.
28:39Brother, what you've done...
28:41That's not entirely accurate.
28:42In other words, it's not a situation that would please God and His Prophet.
28:45If I may ask you,
28:47Isn't asking someone to remove this for the sake of God also a form of invitation?
28:51The invitation is simply for people to sit down and...
28:54half an hour,
28:55forty-five minutes,
28:55It's not about talking for fifty minutes, my brothers.
28:58Sometimes that's true.
28:59You will have money in your pocket.
29:01You give it to a poor person,
29:03You give a few pennies,
29:04That's also an invitation.
29:05And sometimes you even get treated unfairly,
29:09You say, "May God know."
29:11You remain silent,
29:12That's also an invitation.
29:13Someone is talking behind your back.
29:15He/She will slander you,
29:16You will hear about it,
29:18You won't stoop to his level.
29:20You don't engage with him,
29:21This is also an invitation, my brothers and sisters.
29:25May God instill this awareness in all of us, inshallah.
29:28And finally, my brothers, what the devil whispered in our ears,
29:32One of the doubts is what the devil says,
29:35Oh my teacher, he says...
29:36He says "never mind,"
29:37He asks what I'm going to do,
29:38Are you the one who's going to save this place?
29:40Are you going to save the world? he asks.
29:41Every sheep says,
29:43He's hanging himself by his own leg, right?
29:45In other words, in the eyes of our society,
29:46I doubt there's anyone who hasn't said this sentence.
29:50In every society,
29:52Someone is definitely saying this sentence.
29:54Every sheep hangs by its own leg, as the saying goes.
29:57In fact, my brothers and sisters,
29:58This expression originated during the Umayyad period.
30:00This saying came to Omar ibn Abdulaziz,
30:03during his caliphate.
30:04My brother, we...
30:05We can't warn anyone,
30:07Therefore, when it is said that every sheep hangs by its own leg,
30:09Omar ibn Abdulaziz had a sheep slaughtered.
30:12and the sheep,
30:13My brothers had it hung in the city square.
30:16For a week,
30:17The sheep left in the city square,
30:19when it starts to smell,
30:20People have arrived,
30:21They were very upset.
30:23O Commander of the Faithful,
30:24Buy this sheep from the city square,
30:26When they said things like, "Our wishes for noses were shattered,"
30:28Omar ibn Abdulaziz said:
30:30Didn't you say...?
30:31Every sheep hangs by its own leg.
30:33That's how it is; every sheep hangs by its own leg, but...
30:36and around,
30:37He said bad smells start to spread.
30:39Allahu Akbar.
30:40My brothers and sisters,
30:41Why is this so important?
30:43Look,
30:43Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
30:47The reason for the destruction of the Israelites was...
30:49He says that some of them would do evil things.
30:52And the first day,
30:54He who sees those who do evil
30:56The scholars of the Israelites will come,
30:58He would warn them,
30:59later,
31:00They would continue to do that evil.
31:02The second day,
31:03while doing the same evil again
31:04When I see them,
31:05They would warn again,
31:06But they do not listen to the scholars.
31:08And then they would continue to do that evil again and again.
31:11The scholars there,
31:13They saw that,
31:14They don't listen to us.
31:15Therefore, they decided that they would no longer warn them about this.
31:19And then Allah Almighty says,
31:22Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
31:23after a while, he says,
31:24He says he made their hearts alike.
31:28My brothers and sisters,
31:28Look, there are two classes of people here.
31:30One,
31:31scholarly appearance
31:32learned people,
31:33knowledgeable people,
31:34but from warning,
31:35People who have given up on giving advice.
31:37Who are the others?
31:38The others too,
31:39disobedient,
31:40People who do evil.
31:42People with darkened hearts.
31:43What did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say?
31:45God said,
31:46He made their hearts alike.
31:48The question then is,
31:49Do you think the hearts of the wicked resembled those of the good?
31:52Or have the hearts of the good become like those of the wicked?
31:55Because they stopped warning,
31:58those good people who are passive,
32:00And God also opened their hearts.
32:01He likened it to the hearts of evil people.
32:03Allahu Akbar,
32:04So if evil is increasing in a society,
32:07So it seems passive kindness is increasing, my brothers and sisters.
32:10Active well-being is decreasing.
32:12Therefore, God does not want us to be passively good people,
32:15He wants us to be actively good people.
32:17Look, for example, right now, for the last 25 years,
32:21Supposedly, Türkiye is governed by an Islamic party, right?
32:24Let me ask you, my brothers.
32:26For 25 years,
32:28supposedly we will bring Islam,
32:29Those who say they will bring Sharia law,
32:31we can say that we are in a state of ritual purity (ablution) for prayer,
32:33what we can call the headscarf of the lady,
32:35People are running this country.
32:37But sadly, for 25 years,
32:41Tell me,
32:42Did the Kemalists become more Islamized?
32:44Have Muslims become more Kemalist?
32:47Which one was it?
32:48Muslims have become more Kemalist.
32:50From where?
32:50Because those whom we have been able to call scholars,
32:53The people we have been able to call teachers,
32:55because they did not put a stop to this trend,
32:58because they did not call these evils evil,
33:02In other words, being active isn't good,
33:04because they are passively good to themselves,
33:07His command is a well-known one,
33:08prohibiting the possessions of others
33:09because they did not carry it out through the managers,
33:12Look what society did?
33:13It has become a secular society.
33:15Unfortunately, we've become a society heading towards Kemalism, haven't we?
33:18Allahu Akbar.
33:19Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters,
33:21In the last letter of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
33:25These are the words he spoke in his final farewell sermon,
33:29Let's listen again so that our society doesn't go downhill,
33:33In order to be a virtuous nation,
33:35In order to be a community that God values,
33:39Let's repeat this saying so that it serves as a reminder to us all.
33:43The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
33:45Those present here,
33:46To those who are not here,
33:47a verse they had heard from me,
33:50a hadith they had heard from me,
33:52He advised them to definitely pass it on.
33:55May God grant us to be among the believers who heed that advice.
33:58May He grant us all a share and a positive influence.
34:01May God grant wisdom to our minds.
34:02discernment in our eyes,
34:04May it fill our hearts with love.
34:06All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
