00:03hello it is sunday the 11th of october and this is your weather forecast for south australia
00:07victoria and tasmania there is some cold weather on the way this week there's a possibility of snow
00:12down to about a thousand meters on some days um and quite strong winds as well as a pretty powerful
00:18front moves through at the start of the week so let's get into this breakdown starting here with
00:23our sunday breakdown this is when the front approaches you can see it actually quite nicely
00:27on this temperature map here with my face um this is delivering some some rainfall i suppose in south
00:34australia between one and five mils there but it's really monday where it really starts to arrive
00:39sort of sunday night monday morning is when i've seen that front move into the southeast largely
00:42uh some areas in victoria could see 15 to 25 mils but and same for um western tasmania but for
00:48most
00:49areas anywhere between two and ten mils is likely on that day and as you can see some strong wind
00:53gusts associated behind it 63 to 90 kilometers an hour so strong winds on the way this is really
00:57cooling things off maximum between 10 and 15 degrees now that further extends and intensifies
01:03into tuesday although the rain clears out across south australia and victoria and most areas still a
01:08chance of a light shower there unless you're in northern south australia where you're getting 5 to 15
01:13mils and western tasmania where you're getting 15 to 25 most of it is relatively dry but it is a
01:18lot
01:19colder you can see this big fat high pressure system on the way behind it which will keep things
01:23relatively cool in the morning for wednesday so wednesday i could definitely see a chance of
01:27uh frost or fog really because those minimum temperatures are really quite low but it does
01:32dry out in victoria and tasmania as that high extends through now this rainfall in south australia
01:37here is driven by a lot of trough action and um yeah it's it's relatively i suppose stationary trough so
01:44they're delivering quite a few days of um fairly intense rainfall systems so this is saying anywhere
01:48between sort of 5 and 15 mils in northern south australia okay clears out across all three states
01:53here for thursday friday relatively similar again this little trough pop up in northern south
01:58australia uh saturday again relatively stable maybe this is like a chance of a shower here in victoria
02:04and tasmania anywhere between one and five mils so it could be more than a shower and then um sunday
02:09also relatively stationary so really what we're saying is a lot of the more intense weather this week
02:13is at the start of the week as this front moves through and by intense i really would say that
02:18the
02:18minimum temperatures and some of that wind is where a lot of the risk lies this week
02:22all right in saying that please be safe uh have a great week and we'll see you next time bye
