00:02Hello, it is Sunday the 25th of October and this is Tasmania's weather forecast for the
00:06week ahead. There's a possible 25 to 75 mils available across the week for the island state
00:12with most of the strong wind and rain at the start of the week warming up towards the end
00:17of the week but there's still rain most days. There are current warning, so we've got a marine
00:21wind warning across most of the north and east coast and then a bushwalker warning in the west.
00:25If we go ahead into our daily rain alerts showing this is Sunday. Sunday seems to be the rainiest
00:32day for the week for many parts of the southeast. So we have 50 to 75 mils up in the
00:37north east coast
00:39and then that graduates across the island but a lot of rain on the way this Sunday. Monday eases off
00:43but still raining anywhere between zero and five mils across most areas, five to ten in the west
00:48coast. All right, it eases off on Tuesday as we start to get sort of this ridging high is approaching
00:54and a lot of that trough action and that front has passed through but the west coast still two to
00:58five
00:59mils there. And Wednesday quite similar but stronger rain there on the west coast. Thursday similar again
01:04as that high is starting to move over we now have warmer temperatures from the Thursday and by warmer
01:09I only mean by a few degrees nothing drastic there not like the temperatures that we saw last week.
01:14Similar for Friday a possible shower across most of the rest of the state but zero to one mils so
01:19unlikely to
01:19really eventuate into anything. And then next Saturday we get our next rain system through
01:24a possible 15 to 25 mils available in some regions of the northwest coast but much more likely in the
01:29five to ten mil range and if you're down in the east two to five mils there. And then for
01:34Sunday
01:34a little bit lighter but still rain across much of the state. There's quite a bit of wind around at
01:39the
01:39moment leading to that strong wind warning. You can see gusts of 63 to 90 kilometers an hour around the
01:44north of the state with strong 40 to 63 kilometer hour gusts surrounding much of it and still coming
01:49through. As the week sort of approaches we'll move ahead to Thursday this is when the weather starts
01:54to shift slightly slightly less strong winds here. You can still see that there are still strong winds
01:59there's not a lot of the break that we've been seeing recently you know recently I think and by
02:03recently I mean something like a month ago just very light winds for most of the time not this week
02:07this week we're still fairly strong throughout the week but Thursday's when it starts to back off a
02:10little bit but as you can still see there are still gale force winds within the state there.
02:14Because of these strong winds and the rain that's available throughout the week
02:18spraying conditions are fairly poor and so are harvesting conditions as well.
02:22So hopefully those activities got done at the start of last week when they were better conditions.
02:26All right that is it for Tasmania do stay safe out there without wind and rain on the way.
02:30Remember that as it warms up the rain cisterns do have the chance of becoming
02:34storms so that could be thunder lightning or small sized hail so to be safe. Have a great week
02:39I'll see you next time. Bye!
02:40Bye!
